Have to disagree with you somewhat vern. They're paying Al Golden roughly $2.5 million per year and another roughly $1.5 million for assistants. Assuming adjustment for inflation, I would anticipate that they would likely offer the next head coach somewhere in the $3 million per year range and another $1.75 - $2 million to assistant coaches. That feels like an acceptable enough number to me to entice someone like Tom Herman or Fuente or someone else to come here and be able to bring in a capable staff. As others have said, we don't have a money problem, we have a stupid problem.

Let the coordinator's coach on game day. Get a Good OC/DC and your job on game day is to sit back and enjoy. The whole Game-Day coach philosophy is a bit over-blown.

We just wont do it. They dont believe in it. Why? I couldnt tell you. Maybe its because we have always won with that formula. No question. But, the unsubstantiated rumor is that his buyout goes down significantly after this season, which is one of the reasons he wasn't fired after last season. We will see.

I always thought it was more game day management than X's and O's but either way, the bog recruited every NC team we had except the first. Give him 4 years and the players the X's and O's represent will be kicking the living crap out of the entire alphabet the rest of the teams have. Plus Butch can pick staff even better.
