I didn't know the reason for our success last year was because of Rosier taking over games. But you're right. Richt took an average qb to a NY6, but does not mean Rosier balled out.

And apparently you think you win an argument by taking an extreme hypothetical and substituting for reality.

Our drops weren’t due to receivers just not quite being able to haul it in even after making a circus contortionist’s effort. All most all of the dropped passes hit receivers right in the chest or hands.

Execution on Money downs (3rd down and red zone) will make this offense elite and that's usually in the players hands
 
FSU was a top 5 team til Rosie walked in there and snatched their hearts out like Bruce Lee. They gave up on the season after that. Too worried about draft stock.

Hypothetical? The pass to JT4 early in the Clemson game was behind him & went down as a drop. He had the DB beat. Would have been an easy touchdown to tie it up if the throw's out in front, but ended up being a tough catch that he didn't make.

That was in the ACC title game. It doesn't get any more real than that.

Yeah and against Syracuse and Pitt, Richards had 6 hit him in the chest and JT had another go right through his hands.

Fact of the matter is that drops are counted like errors in baseball, meaning that the ball should been caught. If it’s scored as a drop, the scorer deemed that the ball was placed well enough to be caught with reasonable skill and effort.

You should look into politics. Think you'd fit right in. Obviously, you're a Jarren fan. Which of our players are you not a fan of? What you're really doing here is giving yourself outs for whatever the outcome is. I'm glad you see no need to rush him. I'm sure Richt agrees.

As I've said before, I wouldn't be surprised in the least if Malik starts vs LSU. But I don't expect him to finish the season at QB1.

Anyone can beat a defensive back if you start running 50 yards downfield in the wrong direction. The only mistake is that Malik thought he could throw it 70 yards. How in the good **** people think that was an "easy touchdown" is beyond me.

I'd be willing to bet a hefty sum of cash that Williams does not end the season at QB1. Richt is smarter than that. He'd have 1 QB on the roster during the spring if he did that.

I don’t need “outs” because I don’t have an emotional attachment to any one player over the other like some teenage girl.

I don’t care who the QB is so long as he’s the best guy for the job. I haven’t ruled out that Rosier can improve like you and a lot of others have, but if he doesn’t and one of the younger guys pass him up, I’m cool with that.

I just don’t see the need to trash one player who’s done so much, and hype another guy who hasn’t done anything. I’m just gonna sit back and let the competition play out, and trust our coaches to field the best team possible.

Rosier is QB#1 until he isn’t. Until that time, I’m going to root for him to do as well as he possibly can, and for our coaches to get the most out of him possible.

Or at least according to this guy it was scored as a drop on JT. I have not gone back to confirm that.

The Clemson DB hit him before the ball arrived, and he still could have caught it. No idea why this is the play being referenced when there was obvious pass interference. Probably because the announcer said how wide open JT was and people here have the announcers think for them.

A lot of what you do resembles a teenage girl. This is a good example. You've turned a difference of opinion in who we think will be this team's starter at the end of the year into "an emotional attachment" & my supporting statements into "trashing" Malik. Typical inflammatory bull**** from a punk that can't form a good argument who's now trying to play the "let's point the finger & claim the middle ground" game, which I can see right through. Man up & take ownership of your words. I can pull up older posts of yours that show where you stand on the QB situation.

We would never be in this position if Malik didn't come through when we needed him last year. The clutch wins on national TV & 10-0 start were program changers, & we don't get those without Malik. He's a bonafide legend.

I stand by my QB predictions.

I understand it enough to know that no coach worth his weight in pesos would play a player other than the one he thinks gives him the best chance to win just to keep the backups from leaving. Richt wouldn't want a QB that runs away from competition. Neither do I.

I don't care about the cool guy talk about competition. This is the real world and high quality QB's who get passed over by underclassmen tend to transfer. That's the current college football landscape. Richt may start Jarren in 2019, but he will not end the season as the starter. He'll be lucky to get any playing time at all, and he's definitely going to redshirt.

You were done in this discussion the moment you went ham on the Miami single season record holder for yards and TDs in favor of a TF who throws a nice ball in 7v7 or against the 3rd team defense.

I’m wildly excited for JWs potential, but that’s all he is right now, potential. I trust Richt and Co to transform his potential into an excellent QB, but that transformation will take time.

i don’t NEED to make a good argument. Malik is the starter. You’re one of the few idiots arguing that a guy who couldn’t even lock up 3rd string over a dude who’ve didn’t even practice because he had pink eye is going to start this season.

He’ll be lucky to see a snap, even with the new redshirt rules.

If there’s game reps to be dished out in a blowout, it’s going to go to the #2 and #3 guy, and your guy is still gonna wear that shirt.
