Mod Summary: Some loser at E$PN put out a click-bait article naming UM ("the Yew," he called us) at No. 5 in his weekly Bottom 10. Something about the inevitable decline of UM football fans' hopes come autumn (which, you know, is a touchy subject). Besides that there was some culturally suspect joke made about Cuban coffee and UM fans cussing in his social media. No substance or actual sports journalism, just filling quotas for ad revenue.

ESPN is such a hack site. So a undefeated team loses by 3 to a team ranked in the top 25 and they are now Bottom 10..........make it make sense.

Maybe if the media let the season play out a little more before hyping up the team each and every year they wouldn't have to annually try and mock the fans for a narrative they built themselves.

For as delusional as some of our homers can be, the media is who sucks this program off the most each year after the non-con games and is who clearly hasn't learned their lesson yet.

So it’s the medias fault?

We are clicking it and talking about it which is literally all they care about

Imagine how fast a website would close down if every week the headlines were “let’s see how the season plays out”

The vast majority of fans here are in wait and see mode each year. Hardly any fan of the team claims the is back, especially this early in the year.

The media has plenty of people already claiming the U is back everytime we beat our OOC opponents despite the majority of the fans still being in wait and see mode.

So, yes, it is the media's fault the The U is Back narrative gets going. Then trying to then mock it and pass the buck onto the fan base is silly.

I'm not naive. I know they want clicks. I am just pointing out the silliness behind their plan of gaslighting the fan base.

Not only is this hilarious, but how so many people are going to respond to it...

This happens every year we start 5-0, 4-0 etc....
Our failure is always more important to the "media" than any success we may have...
The first one's hypin us are always the first one's to try and bring us down when the cracks inevitably show up each year
