Cam Ward was worth $60M last year and we still didn't make the playoffs.

Beck is critically important, obviously. But if he's in New York in December, we'll have gotten what we paid for. Will the rest of the team follow suit?

Now, if we miss the playoffs and Beck costs us a couple games.......

I'm not rabbit holing, but cis would be the least of the worries in that scenario. ROI becomes a thing at some point.

Those were my initial thoughts as well. I'm hardly an expert on this, but I don't believe a private university (like UM) is required to disclose their figures.
