We are in Denial with the high expectations...

The guy got us an IPF. Is out there crootin' freaking 10 year olds every week to build it up for the future. Has our guys not giving up like Golden's sissy teams. Has us balling on defense with a great hire and has us about 11 points from being 7-1. Yeah he hasn't called plays in 9 years and it's been a rough ride for him to get up to speed but OMG lets fly the ***ing bannerz after one year!

Yea bro! 11 points away.

Anyone with a functioning brain realizes we were never going to do anything productive in the final 2 minutes to win a single one of those games with Richt'Onfrio. Let me break down how all those games best case scenarios would've gone down.

FSU - Convert the XP with 2 mins left, Jimbo takes the ball down the field and hits a game winning FG as time expires
UNC - We had the ball for the last drive. Game was in our hands, Richt'Onfrio did what he does.
ND - Carter recovers the fumble, we proceed to go 3 and out for the 60th time this season, ND gets the ball back at their 40 yard line, marches down the field, kicks a FG as time expires

You know how the best case scenarios would've gone down if we had a real coach in each of those game?

IT WOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN A SINGLE POSSESSION GAME. CANES WIN.

And LOL at Richt putting together a class worth a **** this year. I swear, 90% of this board suffers from Alzheimer's

Where is Jager when we need him? Yeah, I forgot Richt got out there and missed that extra point against FSU. I forget he told those refs to not send that feed to the review crew and for Malcom to step out at the 3 yard line. I forget that Richt broke Sunny's leg so Tyree could get plastered all game at VT. I forget Richt told Kaaya to throw that interception at the begging of the ND game. We sucked before Richt got here and we still do.

You ain't making filet mignon with turds my friend. There is no OL depth, not Richts fault. There is no WR depth, not Richts fault. There is no defensive depth, not Richts fault. There is no CB depth, not Richts fault. But it's all on him right because he called some dumb plays? If you go back and look a lot of those plays were Kaaya failing to audible correctly or execute the RPO. At the end of the day, or course it falls on him, he's getting paid to be the coach. But the players have to execute as well and they ain't getting it done. It's a collective effort and to deny the Golden's last two **** classes don't have anything to do with this is ridiculous.

You need another poster to defend your points because you lack the brain power to do so? Cool.

One more thing to add to things you forgot: Reading my post.

I read that one and many of the others you've been posting lately. You're trolling needs work, at least Chise and Dynasty are funny.

OP makes valid points but you bring up some good ones too. This is one of my biggest concerns as well. Richt slurpers are going to say that it's the talent but I'm not buying it. There is something fundamentally very wrong with our Offense and it isn't just the talent. I hate to say it but it reminds me very much of D'Onofrio's ****ty Defense in the beginning of the Golden years. We were all in total denial, blaming Shannon and look how ****ty that Defense became 4 years later.

The “our expectations were too high” crowd always start talking about talent. As though we all expected to beat Bama tomorrow.

We cannot even beat some the worst teams in football and perform worse than lower level schools. Suddenly our recruiting classes are worse than Cal Polly Tech and the players that go to the NFL are not immediately pro bowlers so they must not have been any good either.

We can only beat UNC if we have 2001 talent?

These arguments are stupid pure nonsense.

Dude, the way I see it, we are one of the worst teams in the ACC. We have some talent, but not enough of it. Coaching most definitely helps and makes a huge difference, but it's not like CMR inherited the 2001 team like Coker did. This team has maybe 60 healthy players and weak skill players in important roles. Tell me who in the ACC has a worse line than us? We can start at that...

Recruiting? That only matters for the previous coaches. We won't know about that for a few years with current coaches recruits. I think Golden did ok with recruiting but terrible in several areas (DB, OL and until this passed class LB come to mind)

Like I said, this who thing is a clusterfu&k, not just one problem
T

It always goes here. We have the worse talent in the ACC. Every year someone says we have the worse talent in the ACC.

It does not look that way on the recruiting boards. Does not look that way in preseason. Does not look that way on the field.

Some only start saying these when we start losing all our games. Besides the OL, which is a real issue, there is enough talent in every other position to beat every team in the ACC save for Clemson and Louisville.

Can anyone honestly suggest we have less talent than a James Madison? The talent argument is a fallacy. It is only brought up once we start losing as a convenient excuse. There are real issues and actual problems that can be fixed and should have been fixed before they lost 4 games.

But do not blame all the losses on the OL because there are ways to work around that issue…which just happens to be what most people are complaining about.

I'd like one of these dudes to bump their post from September when we were 4-0 and ranked #10 . Surely even then they were saying we had no talent.

The talent argument would fly if we had lost to Alabama and Ohio State in the playoff. Sure, we don't have a 2001 amount of talent, but there's enough to beat 2-5 teams and ****ty coastal teams.

Golden left behind more talent than either Shannon or Coker did. My recollection is that Shannon left behind a talent issue and Coker left behind a depth issue.
