We’ve been debating…

Wtf is this?

The answer to what has changed…is nothing. Our defense is a significant liability. We are undisciplined. We can’t tackle. We can’t run the ball. We can’t stop the run. We can’t rush the passer.

Regardless of whether it’s King or TVD, the offense has bailed out the defense to win some games we are supposed to win, but get caught in pillow fights against teams we should have put away in the 2nd quarter or lose to teams who have no business being on the field with us.

And for those who think Manny is coming back…why did we fire Blake James 48 hours after the FSU loss? Because of football. Manny isn’t a good coach with disciplined players who can tackle and beat inferior teams and stay competitive with top 10 teams that is simply held back by an incompetent AD who isn’t giving him what he needs to succeed…

One question on my mind is if the Top 3 or 4 or 5 asked ( Mario, Lane, Stoops, etc) ALL turn us down (and this certainly seems remotely possible) does retaining Manny begin to look more feasible then, to even Jurich's eyes.? Not sure how I would feel myself; if for example it was choice ONLY between Manny or Mullen, or similar.
They wont. Not all 3, not Kiffin for sure.

I don't know why yall hyperventilating about this. His buyout decreases on Wednesday, why wouldn't they wait, they already did for how many weeks. The people with the money want him gone and he will be gone. **** simple to me. He has 2 years left on his contract, they cant extend him and he cant recruit or coach properly with only 1 year left after next season. It would be toxic and the media and recruits will only ask him about that, everyday. He is gone. Period.

Only at Miami would we fire Blake for ineptitude with our sports programs and a lazy hire ONLY to hire a brand new AD and keep a five loss Manny (who was the lazy hire) as head coach who has even lost his OC.

I was super excited about Kiffin... but every day, a bit less so. His recruiting is somewhat suspect. As mentioned, his current class is ranked LAST in the entire SEC (I don't count Vanderbilt) without a lot of low-hanging fruit out there to close on. Again, not 8th, 10th, or even 12th. 13th in the conference. That gives me a LOT of pause. MISS ST is a lock to have out-recruited him in-state when its all said and done. While we as Canes found that interview where he basically made fun of Mississippi culture and people funny, I think it was pretty classless to do as the HBC at Ole Miss. And I wonder if it might hurt recruiting, as I doubt the HS coaches thought much of it. Showed poor judgment. We also saw an article today where a number of MISS HS coaches ripped him and his recruiting. So just how much has he really outgrown the immaturity rap?

Also, he won with someone else's players this year including a seasoned, highly talented NFL QB who had offers from everyone. He is losing a lot of the roster and I wonder how they will perform next year, and I wonder if he knows it too, and is trying to dip while he still has shine. I'd love to be able to peer into the future and see how they would do next year with him. I'll bet he's salivating over TVD.

He kind of went 7-2 because 3/4th of his OOC schedule was atrocious. Tulane, Austin Peay and Liberty (don't start with Liberty, I get it). His marquee OOC game was against Louisville (6-5, 4-4). He's gotten a lot of mileage off of the win over TAMU, and deservedly so. It was a nice win. But like the rest of his top three wins, he had them at home. And TAMU lost three games this year so far and are losing to sub-.500 LSU as I type this.

I am not taking a stand or anything. I am just realizing that a lot of things fell into place for him this year. He has a lot of upside and did a great job at FAU fwiw. Just volunteering some contrarian thoughts as we all do our fanboy due diligence on the candidates.
Lane is an offensive coordinator with a head coach's office. He is an ELITE offensive mind, but that's really it. If we didnt have to worry about defense, special teams, and recruiting...he'd be the perfect candidate.

OK, Kiffin's signature win (TAMU) is now officially over a four-loss team that finished .500 in their conference.

In fact, they didn't beat a single team with less than four losses. And both times they played one, they lost by double digits. They were 2-3 outside of Oxford.

Chip, chip, chip, chip...

Lmao manny diaz has absolutely nothing to do with Brevin Jordan doing a single **** thing

Agreed. I'll take back what I said.

But he didn't have any negative effect is more what I want to say. Right? And even in that case, I would expect SOME allegiance.

Someone mentioned on Twitter talk right now that two interesting names were going to be in Miami starting tonight.

One is Mario for family reasons and the other he said was in town for the past two days. They didn’t seem reputable or anything but just curious if anyone’s knows who the second person is?

Whats this about between Brevin and Lemonis?
I don’t think it’s anything between the 2 of them personally. Seems Lemonis is just responding to Brevin’s tweets telling the players seemingly defending Manny in almost identical messages to quit the “cap”.
