We're 5-0 with three wins against ranked teams and a 4th win against a team that can hang with anyone, and people think we can't close games out.

I'll take a trend that requires being up by a couple scores in the first place.

lol I guess you’re being obtuse on purpose. I’m pointing out that there are issues that get clearer each week. This is a really good team, but not putting them #1 over Ohio State at the moment until they resolve those issues. No one is saying that they wouldn’t take a win.

The D was gassed because the offense kept stalling drives due to penalties. We were absolutely shutting down Malzahn’s offense during the 3.5 quarters we played complementary football

It's not really on Mario. Yes Mario gives a blue print of what he wants in those moments. It was on Mario that we dialed it back. But it's 100 on Dawson that when he hears dial it back he goes back to the same exact plays and same exact situational football each and every time. It's ****** nonsense.

I could be wrong on this, but it feels like at those points in the game, Mario wants a soul snatching drive where we line up and run it down the other team’s throat on like a 10 play 7 minute drive. I wonder last night if FSU’s tempo made them want to slow down on offense to give the defense a rest. It’s frustrating and needs to get figured out ASAP. ND, UF and FSU all should have been empty the bench blowouts.

I disagree. We look more focused and zoned in than any other team I’m watching. Currently watching Indiana celebrate like they won a championship. Hearing and seeing how our players are ****ed off after wins is what separates us from everyone else from a “mindset” perspective.
