We’re the best team in America

Ohio State lost to Michigan last year as 20 point favorites at home. Then they won the national championship.

We just covered the spread on the road against our #1 rival ranked top 20 and the only reason it was close was because of penalties (which the mopes forget IS fixable).

This is the best team we have had in 20 years.

Football games are 60 minutes. When you win the first 45 by a score of 28-3, the last 15 are largely irrelevant. I was at the game, on the 50 yard line surrounded by 98% FSU fans. Not a single one of them thought they belonged on the same field as us. There’s not a team in America I’d line up against right now and not feel confident we’d win. No one. This team is really, really good.

This. I've been labeled a mope on this board for most of the past 20 years. But what I've come to understand is that 98% of the people posting here have ZERO ******* clue what they're looking at when they watch a football game.

I moped because for 20 years, this team wasn't good.

I'm not moping now.

Seems obvious to me, but clearly it isn't obvious to everyone, so in plain ******* English - THIS TEAM IS THE REAL DEAL.

There is NOTHING worth moping about this season. This team looks the part.

Penalties is not the only reason it got close at the end.

D got gassed. They played really hard and were on the field a lot, running around after a fast, high-powered offense for 3+ quarters. O had some very quick scoring drives, and some short drives that stalled out. FSU’s O deserves credit in that they didn’t give up at the end and kept fighting, and our D didn’t either, but it was hard because they were starting to struggle by that point. So they gave up some plays. They also made some great plays. It’s a rivalry. **** happens. I’m proud of them.

The D was gassed because the offense kept stalling drives due to penalties. We were absolutely shutting down Malzahn’s offense during the 3.5 quarters we played complementary football

Who the **** is talking about the team? We're talking about that dunce of a head coach. What good is a Ferrari if a blind man is driving it? Sooner or later it's gonna crash and burn.

But we have years of evidence including 3 more in 5 games this year, of Mario not closing teams out and putting the game in jeopardy. It may not be a loss, but it’s a warning sign. He’s driving the car with the check engine light on and as long as it doesn’t break down everything is fine. But dont be surprised when it does break down.

I understand you point and am not knocking it.... All I'm saying is we got the W regardless... We beast ND , Fl, SoFla and Fl St. all in the same year thus far..... Unlike years past where we likely would have dropped one or two of those.... But we didn't... Yes Mario makes mistakes, I get it... We're 5-0 ... Football happens nothing ever goes smooth... Take the win and move on to the next game...

lol to FSU being a top 10 team. Fowler even said it on the broadcast tonight - mentioned the stats from those two early games FSU played against the cream puff schools being largely stat padders...... Take those away and what do you have? 1-2 against good teams...

yes, this is very true about the defense. Mesidore looked absolutely gassed. They were having trouble getting lined up in time at one point.

Should have kicked the field goal.....

It's on BOTH of them. Mario is the head coach and he is control. He stands on the sidelines and watches us go into shell most games when we get ahead. They share the blame for this team not to be able to crush teams and put them away.
