DUDE !! Leonard Floyd wasn't drafted high for his measurables, they all knew he was an athletic freak before the combine. I'll give you a better comparison, Quan Muhammad needs to be productive to get into the first round like Shaq Lawson and do you know why?? Because he's a 4-3 end, not a 3-4 OLB who asked to cover at times. If Shaq went to the combine and worked out the way he worked out but they went back and saw he only had 3.5 sacks like he did in 2015 do you think he goes 19th to the bills??I doesn't matter what Jordan Jenkins tested dude. Floyd was a multi purpose linebacker at UGA and Jordan Jenkins was their pass rush specialist and the one that set their edge on their D and Leonard still matched Jordan Jenkins for TFL's and sacks go look at their stats...Quan Muhammad has never dropped into coverage dude so how can you compare him to Floyd?? He's more comparable to Noah Spence than Leonard FloydYou guys realize he did both coverage and pass rush right?? Jordan Jenkins was the pass rush specialist there...there was even talk of him going to the Dolphins before the draft
the bears arent bringing him in for coverage its great that he can but he will be a pass rushing specialist, what did jenkins test at the combine? floyd tested 4.6 in the 40 which is the range elite pass rushers in previous drafts had von miller was in the 4.5's and khalil mack was in the 4.6's and a really high vertical and broad jump. at 6'4 250 or so if muhammad can get near those numbers he'll have scouts salivating
it does matter what he tested, thats my entire point, the scouts and GM's are looking at certain numbers, its funny you mentioned spence because as soon as he ran a 4.8 40 mike mayock dropped him in his rankings and he didnt end up being drafted until the 2nd day. i'm not comparing floyd and muhammad's defensive responsibilities but only stating that if muhammad can test similar to what floyd did at the combine he'll be a top pick regardless if he has gaudy sack numbers which some guys think you need. you can find alot of strong guys that can set the edge in the draft but not many have a high vertical or can run a 4.6 40 yd dash
go read all the pre draft scouting reports, this guy floyd was consensus boom or bust prospect, let me let you in on a secret the boom aspect of it is because of his mesaureables! why on earth would you have 2 teams in the top 10 willing to draft a light in the *** pass rusher who allegedly played at 230 pounds and only produced 4 sacks unless he tested off the charts? if this guy posted a 29 inch vert and a 4.8 40 there is no way in **** he even gets considered for the first round. the guy had elite numbers at the combine and a 6'6" frame, you keep talking positions muhammad can easily be drafted to play either 4-3 or 3-4 thats irrelevant you have guys switching systems every year, his combine numbers will determine where he goes
