Possibly the second highest ever.

Texas A&M last year had a class 5 points better.

The Rose Bowl venue lived up to the hype and was every bit the historical venue it is. Quiet the experience and I still laugh (even though I like the guy) when we were chanting Corso sucks at the end of the game and you could hear it on the broadcast.

My only complaint, taking the foot off the gas.

Random highlight, hanging out with Larry King for a while. Guess he wanted a body guard around.
 
I remember standing outside waiting to walk through the metal detectors and National Guard with M-16s handy. Just after 9-11 and it was bonkers.

I lost my voice yelling Corso Sucks by halftime. Our LBs alone would have won this game.

Plenty on defense also. At least 3 pro bowlers starters this yr in Quinnen Surtain and Trevon diggs

QB is the position where Bama has the advantage. But remember, Hurts spent a year with Riley at OU and took his game up a few levels. He’s not the leading NFL MVP candidate had he stayed as Tua’s back up.

RB: Portis, Gore, and Willis combined for over 37K yards in the league. Gore is a HOF lock, 3rd all-time leading rusher.

WR: Dre was a freak and likely HOF. He’s better than any Bama WR, including Devonta. I’d love to see a young Dre in today’s game. Bama did have more depth, I guess. Unless we can add Wayne (HOF eventually]) and Santana from 2000.

I remember thinking it didn't matter who we played. It was a forgone conclusion that we would beat whoever we played. It was almost anti climactic.
 
Alabama 2018 got slaughtered by 2018 Clemson.

By my 13th year as a fan we just won our 3rd Natty, had a couple of #2 finishes with 2 top-tens and a #18 sprinkled in.
Too easy.
 
First time I enjoyed a game anywhere near the level of that game vs Nebraska in a long time was the 2017 ND game at Hard Rock. Dominated every phase. Kelley looked as stunned as the Nebraska HC at half time.
