I was talking about 71 in game thread. He’s starting to look like himself since injury. Big guys need more time. On top of that he’s huge . I was always counting on him taking one of the 5-6 spots when right. Him and Congdon changes the makeup of the ol. It goes from average to a bit small inside to massive.

At the very least, putting that size in the middle appears to help get natural push in the run game and buy more time in the pass game.

SJ and Buchanan produce a lot of whiffs. Congdon and Meriweather, even when they get beat, have the size to disrupt the path to the QB.

Those two should be playing inside with Cantwell just committing full time to back up Tackle reps.

If the OL gets to slightly above serviceable, look the **** out

I was expecting Merriweather to be atrocious considering where he was on the depth chart and i didn't see much of a fall off, more the adverse.

Seems with the snap counts that Cantwell is done with competing to be a starting guard and is gonna be second team at either tackle. I’m fine with it. Just SJ is only a center maybe Cantwell is only a tackle

What’s the deal with Woodrow and Pickett? No run for them at all?

He’s a center and has always been a center. He’s just not good enough to do it at the FBS, or especially the P4 level

Understood. Another poster pointed that out to me as well. I thought he played center and guard for some reason. I know he was recruited to be center and he was talked about as being a “Swiss army knife” on the o-line. I just assumed he played some center in high school and that was his best position.
