Ohio State claims the reason that they lost in the playoffs a year ago was that they weren't battle-tested. This program is beyond delusional, and I guess playing Ball State makes you battle tested for Texas.

"We weren't battle tested," Smith said. "We played one team and that was in late August."

"We definitely going to be battle tested this year and it's going to show a lot at the end of the season."

"This year we have a better schedule, a tougher schedule," Sayin said. "I think it's going to be good for us. We just didn't have that many tough games in the regular season and you need that."

"It's going to be a challenge, but that's the way you want it," coach Ryan Day said before the season. "It's going to force us to get comfortable winning games in the fourth quarter during the regular season."

"That's going to help us get calloused up for when the playoffs come around," senior guard Luke Montgomery said. "Week in, week out, you've got to be on your A game. It's super exciting and I think it will help us out a lot."

"Jeremiah, he understands what's coming," Day said Saturday. "He trusted what we did ... because he understands we got a monster game coming up."

Indiana BEAT them the last game they played.

Copium horse****

Idk what do you want them to say? Team building is a lot about narrative, that’s theirs. Honestly I do think it’s a slight advantage to have played for your life a week ago vs. sitting around for a month. Doesn’t discredit how great we played.

I still hate them but no need to pick everything to death

I mean…it’s true though. Outside of the Texas game, they played a bunch of really bad teams until Indiana in the conference championship.

I hate them more than the next Canes fan, but they really did get fat on cupcakes. I don’t read that as an excuse from them. Seems like they are excited about having more challenges this year.

They lost cause they got their **** pushed in. No amount of “battle tested” nonsense would help that front against Miami’s defense last year.

Carnell Tate wanted to be anywhere else than Dallas the way he was short arming passes and avoiding contact. Julian was Sayin he saw dead people out there he was getting hit so much.

The score may have been close, but the line of scrimmage was a complete *** beating.

nahhh Michigan played em somewhat close. and if that is the case is the reason we beat them because we played ND week 1? Because who else was on our gauntlet? Or you mean A&M the week before? This is nothing but coach speak being reiterated by the players. They look at the schedule and said ****, its tough this year and an obvious coaching moment is tough is good, tough makes you tough, iron sharpens iron, all that jazz, there is some truth to that but you telling me if they played Oregon in week 3 it would have made a difference in our game? Nah. We rolled em.

I mean, we played Notre Dame week one and then a bunch of mediocre to bad teams until the playoffs started.

Not a shred of humility or accountability.
