Wasn't Battle Tested

Nah frfr, who's more ***** made, Taint or the Crying Irish?
They're both mental. You got ND people talking about how Wisconsin is great because of the conference they play in, yet forget Wisconsin finished 135th in total offense and 134th in scoring offense, and ND was in a fist fight for 2 qtrs with them.

And had what would have been the most egregious review decision of the week (if not for what happened in Ann Arbor) go their way and hand them the ball on the Wisconsin 13 when their offense was sputtering early.

Does this mean the B1G is weaker than the ACC? How in the world was Miami battle tested and OSU not? ND was the only ranked team heading into the CFP that we played. OSU played Texas, Michigan, Indiana.

Maybe Pitt(was ranked), USF (was ranked), FSU (was ranked) count?

Ohio State claims the reason that they lost in the playoffs a year ago was that they weren't battle-tested. This program is beyond delusional, and I guess playing Ball State makes you battle tested for Texas.

"We weren't battle tested," Smith said. "We played one team and that was in late August."

"We definitely going to be battle tested this year and it's going to show a lot at the end of the season."

"This year we have a better schedule, a tougher schedule," Sayin said. "I think it's going to be good for us. We just didn't have that many tough games in the regular season and you need that."

"It's going to be a challenge, but that's the way you want it," coach Ryan Day said before the season. "It's going to force us to get comfortable winning games in the fourth quarter during the regular season."

"That's going to help us get calloused up for when the playoffs come around," senior guard Luke Montgomery said. "Week in, week out, you've got to be on your A game. It's super exciting and I think it will help us out a lot."

"Jeremiah, he understands what's coming," Day said Saturday. "He trusted what we did ... because he understands we got a monster game coming up."
Ha. Anything but "we got our asses beat." Cool.

It is so sad to hear...because Ohio Taint plays in the terrible Big 10, which is only the conference with the last 3 national champions...and, of course, Ohio Taint played a nobody in the 2025 Big 10 championship game...which, as I recall, was not in late August...tragically, Ohio Taint also did not have to face any ranked opponents such as Illinois or Michigan in 2025...

On a daily basis, I lose more and more respect for Jeremiah Smith as a human being. Great wide receiver, but just an insecure pathetic excuse for a man...

"Not battle tested" my ***...**** that guy and his fake excuses...

They haven’t lost more than two games since 2011. Very unlikely especially with xp at QB and a Heisman level WR.
For the most part they should be able to just show up for most games and walk away with a win but this attitude and lack of respect they're sending out to the people on their schedule might make some teams more hungry to knock them down a notch.

Didn’t they play the eventual national champion in their conference title game before the playoffs?
Stop with you making sense.

I think OSU loses 3 this year. Thought it would have been 4 but Michigan is terrible.
OSU was loaded last year4 players in round #1, 11 overall that losing a lot of talent....... would agree with your assessment
IU, Iowa,Oregon maybe USC.... till Arch & Sark get it done in a big game skeptical of TX

They actually have a pretty tough schedule

@ Texas
@ Iowa
@ Indiana
@USC
Oregon
Michigan

With all they lost on defense and their OL still being a dumpster fire I could see them losing 3 of the games above. I actually had them losing Michigan until I saw Michigan is still as big a mess as they were last year and Whittingham looks lost.

Hey I hope they lose all of em but historically they're the most constant program there is. 3 or more losses only 6 times since '94. Whenever it seems like they've lost a lot they remind you the next season how well they recruit.

Honestly haven't done enough research to confirm their O line is finally a "dumpster fire" but that's the only chance its not status quo for that program. Most likely they're going to score a lot of points and I doubt the defense isn't retooled with elite talent again like last season.

They have Earl Little at safety. And their OL was bad last year, they just benefited from having a schedule with no one on it except Texas.

Idk what do you want them to say? Team building is a lot about narrative, that’s theirs. Honestly I do think it’s a slight advantage to have played for your life a week ago vs. sitting around for a month. Doesn’t discredit how great we played.

I still hate them but no need to pick everything to death
They should say nothing instead of saying things that are so factually incorrect.

IU beat them a few weeks before UM beat OSU.

Besides Smith being a douche, Toney is living in his head right now.
