Very strong on paper defensive back room. Corners on paper are more highly ranked than ours.
 
Idk now I'm feeling a bit better after listening to the press conference. Beck seems so unfazed and has a lowkey confidence. Idk it I know it's a Mario team but...now I feel good
 
Beck has this thing where he has a tendency to throw low on short passes. Maybe it has something to do with his injury post-arm mechanics and the point of release, I don't know.

What was frustrating to me was in the 3rd quarter, we went away from running the football to passing. Why? We were pounding them into dust with the run. And when we went back to it in the 4th quarter, worked just fine.

#52 was having problem hiking the ball, lol. I've never seen a center that flustered in a half of football.
 
Can Heatherman help Dawson and Mario identify and clean up Offensive tendencies on tape? That would be lovely
 
It was a pretty dull game, and I didn't like our QB play, but if you gave me that score I would have taken it. I knew this game wouldn't be that easy.

The wet conditions were a factor....there were off and on heavy downpours in the area all day, the field never got a chance to dry out all that much

Funny enough, Beck had issues facing Florida while he was at Georgia.

Passing game has to be clean led up and still lacking some explosives, but part of me saw some of those designed plays during the USF and ND game.

Which tells me they approached this game differently.

Florida also made us be patient and play methodical. I think we should have ran more. Less visually appealing but we were gashing them on that right side.
 
I didn’t like the third quarter. Seemed like Dawson was determined to get Beck going. UF seemed very content letting us play between the 20s. They aren’t a top flight defense but their scheme isn’t that advantageous to how we play offense. Manhandled them and did what we needed to when it mattered.

The only thing we didn’t do well was throw the ball. Every other aspect we did at a high clip. Ran well, tackled well, STs were good outside of that idiotic punt in the third. I think most expected a rock fight. Take it and move on.

It won’t matter as much. Every team can’t do what Florida or a Notre dame can do.

UF seems super content bending. We just seemed to get too cute in plus territory. They were more than ok getting into 2&6 3&3 situations. Should’ve just been content running it a will. Hindsight is 20/20. Rather have these issues today and not 10/4.
