Rants are good, at least that's what I'm rolling with.
Yes, I remember as a kid how I never understood players missing games due to sore this, pulled that, etc. You get older and you might not have an injury, but your body is beat to **** where even moving is painful. You're not game ready, but you go out there anyhow.
Mentally, when it all starts to slow down, it was crazy to me. Your mind knows where you need to go and do, but your body can't keep up. Frustrating man, it sucks. It's weird coaching my young ones, because I'm stubborn as ****, no quit, and will try to show them some things and really shouldn't.
Age really smacked me in the face when I pulled a groin muscle playing kickball. Played through college, no torn or pulled anything. First pulled muscle or tear, didn't get it looked at as I'm supposed to be some badass, 10 years later playing kickball because some fine *** woman asked me to play. The fugg? Nobody knew it either, kept on right through it. Wasn't going to tell her that happened, but man....seemed it would never go away.
