Crobar, is it still around? Used to do some things up in Chicago and met (I think her name was Carol) who was opening up the Miami one or running it. Met her one night hanging out with Paul Van Dyke doing a magazine shoot. Those days were crazy, circa 2000 give or take a few years. Never went to the one in Miami, but the Chicago one was a good place.
Mike's lifetime story is just bonkers. He is the epitome of perseverance though with all of the ups and downs. I still remember how shocking it was that he lost to Buster Douglas. One of the all-time greatest upsets ever.
Good to hear Evander is doing better. Never heard anyone say a bad word about the guy. He is was just someone you couldn't root against, but Iron Mike was larger than life and a tough act to follow. I'm not sure he's ever gotten the respect he deserves as a fighter as that Tyson shadow loomed large even after he defeated him.
Those dudes were so loaded it wasn't even funny.
