Because you have to be an established option to get that job. Chief is the only real talent they got. For them mehlki has an established name. Primarily in soccer and MMA. t it's a name aBull the same. He's been tryin to break into football for a minute now. So for him his options are limited and technically speaking kids always have a chance to improve they stock. Besides that agents get in this game not for the initial contract. They worried bout the second and third...
Exactly what he did with me. Threw in 2 other clients basically by me taking the deal I took. Found that out years later that only one of em was someone they had interest in. The last was well I'm gonna get you such and such at this number and you'll get two other role players... ****ed me right the fvck off when I first heard about it. But him and I had been fell out by that point over some lame *** car and jewelery he tried to give me to keep me from goin elsewhere than billed me for on a endorsement deal he structured. He stayed having rolexs delivered like it was a gift. Have a good couple games and a car shows up in the driveway. Then comes the surprise. Who cares you never asked for that crap. But as soon as he sees you got an issue with that he gets real slick and shady. You have to get special approval from the NFLPA to structure the pay different or receive it up front. Generally you can only bill the client after each check they get from their team, with the cap being 3%. When you're an agent like that with 100 clients then there's always a player bigger that'll get treated better and he can basically use them as pawns to leverage other contracts.
I've heard similar stories from multiple people about "the car guy" "the jewelry guy" etc where players paid marked up prices and kick backs and other shady dealings were involvedExactly what he did with me. Why you think I tell you what I tell you brother. You and ahhmon can both change this game up in a very positive way if y'all just remember the players side of the coin and do business ethically...I've heard similar stories from multiple people about "the car guy" "the jewelry guy" etc where players paid marked up prices and kick backs and other shady dealings were involved
You're misunderstanding what he's saying though. You don't sign off on anything as a player. You're never told a bill. You never see a bill for one thing in particular. You just know once the next check gets cut he's throwing some miscellaneous nonsense on top of it and trying to bill you based upon some phony reciepts. Usually awhile later.Yea, I’d be real wary of the jewelry guy.
Not super hard to do due diligence in a ride, but jewelry is a whole other matter. You literally don’t know what you’re getting most of the time

Inquiring minds huh.... U know my stance on this. I don't mind sharing some stories with y'all. But beyond that u won't never hear nada out of me. I'll just say ur probably right at one point or another. Lolok I’m starting to think you’re somebody I’m a fan of![]()
Yeah I always thought I got took. Mike is a good friend of mine though. Known Mikey since he was considered the baddest man on the planet. We used to give each other piggy back rides around Amnesia and crobar on the beach blasted out of our minds. Love that man to death. But yeah between him and evander they got some **** to tell you though. But evander been bounced back last couple years. Last I spoke to him he had a bad *** spot in Buckhead. Mikey's doing amazing between Tyson ranch and his show. So proud of him. Unfortunately it takes Kiki using him like a billboard for business to get there though. Those car and jewelry guys are all LLC businesses so even if you were to try and go after them one day, they just close up shop and there's no way to get a dime back. The agents and them made off with your money with their inflated bills. It's a **** racket, been going on for a long *** time. Biggest heists of all time were Tyson and Holyfield. Holy **** those guys got took, Holyfield to the point where all he's got is a condo.

It's called bottom feeding. If you can't get the blue chip prospects, you scavenge for anything you can get in order to keep the lights on. If you get enough late round guys and take your percentage, you might be able to stay afloat. And if a few of them hit, then you can make money on the 2nd contract. You can also mix in the occasional small school higher round pick that you scouted and built a relationship with better than the other agents did.
Most of us are, that's why it's fun. Whenever fans are allowed at games again I'll bring the Pappy and we can all be maniacs.Haha nothing. I don’t drink. I’m an insane maniac when I drink. Had to give that one up.
... except Bob Sugar was actually a next-level fictional agent with legit clients.

Evander’s old house outside of the city (the 50k sq ft one with 100 rooms) that Rick Ross bought is where they filmed Coming to America 2 last year. Glad to hear he bounced back ok.Yeah I always thought I got took. Mike is a good friend of mine though. Known Mikey since he was considered the baddest man on the planet. The original crobar was in Miami. It was a theater. Dude named max is the original owner. Dude named Tommy (atleast at the time I knew of)was max partner on the Chicago one. Mob dude. I think the person ur talking about was max wife before she died around 02 early 40s short blonde, few extra pounds on her but amazing personality. If I remember right her name was something like that. Thinking Christina but could be wrong. It's been awhile. But they closed forever ago in Miami because Roman bought most clubs that were successful at the time in Miami and rode them into the ground. Used to be one of the most popular clubs in the world. Forgot the name they were open under at the time the theater wasn't crobar it was cameo. That's what max owned was the building and cameo theater. Crobar was max,Tommy and Kenny. I know Kenny's wife was involved too. She had some european name. Something like a fish. Lol had to clean that up cause I know some people look for anything to tear me apart on here. Lol Paul's a crazy lol dude ain't he. Used to hang out sometimes with him and oakendorf. Wild boat parties.Crobar, is it still around? Used to do some things up in Chicago and met (I think her name was Carol) who was opening up the Miami one or running it. Met her one night hanging out with Paul Van Dyke doing a magazine shoot. Those days were crazy, circa 2000 give or take a few years. Never went to the one in Miami, but the Chicago one was a good place.
Mike's lifetime story is just bonkers. He is the epitome of perseverance though with all of the ups and downs. I still remember how shocking it was that he lost to Buster Douglas. One of the all-time greatest upsets ever.
Good to hear Evander is doing better. Never heard anyone say a bad word about the guy. He is was just someone you couldn't root against, but Iron Mike was larger than life and a tough act to follow. I'm not sure he's ever gotten the respect he deserves as a fighter as that Tyson shadow loomed large even after he defeated him.
Those dudes were so loaded it wasn't even funny.

The bread they getting now because of Vegas and because of the livs of the world is crazy. If they headline a festival crazy bread. I always kid around since I'm in the music business now that I should've stuck to straight music and left football alone. Lord knows my later years would be alot better off for it. Football has blessed me in ways as a kid I never would've expected out of my life. God really is good. But people don't fully grasp the toll it takes on us mentally and physically. Junior is a perfect example. He really was a beautiful person. His own body betrayed him at the end of the day to where before he killed himself he couldn't even wipe his own *** anymore... As a man who's used to peak physical dominance it's hard to cope with. That doesn't even take into account what happens to your mind. Alot of people wanted me to play longer. I said at the end of the day I have to live with myself. Not anyone else. I just went on a rant again didn't I...Sounds exactly like her. Holy ****, she died that young? Sad, shouldn't ever happen, but it does. Last name Martin? I've come across so many names I get them mixed up a lot so that more than likely isn't it. Considered moving back to the area briefly and knew she was a good contact.
Did they reopen the Crobar then in a different venue? Heck, maybe they were just redoing it. Either way, it was for a magazine shoot and I came to town to shoor it, she told me to get a hold of her, etc. I never did, left that business behind a few months later to focus on other things. Was a fun time in my life as we'd show up anywhere, get in immediately, had a name in that scene, with an entourage of what people said were beautiful people. Knew every DJ almost worldwide. Crazy how much coin some of them are bringing in these days.
