Was Diaz negotiated by Richt?

The guy walks away from 10 million or so, only to have Diaz to show up on campus hours later to sign the paperwork?

I'd rather have Diaz for the next year or two taking a shot than to have Richt still here. Diaz can produce a defense that gets us a W. This defense did well the last two years considering what it was in years past. The only thing the offense was good for was 3 and outs.

We went from a burnt out HC that sucked at play calling and refused to accept it... To an experienced HC that does well on the defensive side of the ball. Hopefully, that contract left a lot of room for us to get a good OC coordinate, QB coach and all of the support pieces we need.

I think once we know what kind of deal Manny signed, it will tell us a lot more. If they got Manny on a very short and cheap deal it could be a 1-year rope for him to hang himself and for us to find the right person... or for him to prove himself and get a few more years... I mean... We do love to hand out unearned extensions.

Richt played us even in the end. He “retired” and walked off campus like Keyser Soze before we could piece together it was a pre-negotiated handoff to Manny Diaz.

Well played, Richt. Well played...

Great post. ******* LOL. We got played. Hard

We will know if lil Johnny is still employed as a coach. If so then it was.

This shlt show just keeps rolling along. What a ******* joke this program has become

LOL this is such a moronic post . Richt did what was best for the program and if Diaz hadn't left it would of been given to him anyway. He was at worst the 3 best assistant coach over the last 3 years. I wanted Cristobal but the OP is a complete moron. We literally won't keep a single offensive coach . we better keep all the D coaches as they are badasses.

Based on what? Richt did what was best for the program? If Richt cared that much he would have made far better moves over the course of his time here. Thanks for calling me a moron... D!ck.

Who knows what the truth is but this is a plausible scenario. All I can say is that it is IMPERATIVE that he hire an absolute KILLER for an OC. The Lincoln Riley experiment has been successful but he is an offensive guy and his team doesn’t play defense. We can’t have the inverse happen here.

Needs to be a major splash on offense. Will he have the stones to clean house of the guys he has worked beside for the last three years?

No holdovers - clean house on offense and start over.

5 years according to Herald

I want this to work but I am skeptical of this move. If it does work, it is by accident. Frenk and James just wanted to make the cheap and lazy hire. Doubt that they considered any other candidates.
