Was Diaz negotiated by Richt?

I'd rather have Diaz for the next year or two taking a shot than to have Richt still here. Diaz can produce a defense that gets us a W. This defense did well the last two years considering what it was in years past. The only thing the offense was good for was 3 and outs.

We went from a burnt out HC that sucked at play calling and refused to accept it... To an experienced HC that does well on the defensive side of the ball. Hopefully, that contract left a lot of room for us to get a good OC coordinate, QB coach and all of the support pieces we need.

Who is this experienced HC you are referring to?
 
I suspect it was a deal. We will know by the staff. If Jon stays then it was all just a negotiated exit with the punk kid keeping his job and Mark walking away from the money. My guess is we get stuck with Mark;s other boys too. Manny probably sold his soul for this.
 
I think it was a panic move, but not an arrangement. Richt called and told James, James panics and calls Diaz. Diaz comes to Miami asap.
