Warning about Nebraska

Nebraska is not good. They are killing Fresno, but a Fresno team that lost to USC 52-13 and Utah 59-27. That said, they could very easily beat us, and beat us pretty good. Honestly, I have no idea what to think.

That's the thing with the last decade. We can win one that we shouldn't, then crap the bed against someone we should win the next. Just stop the running game against Nebraska and they're dead in the water. So much so, that we wouldn't have to do much on offense to pull out the win.
 
Nebraska is not as talented as Miami, BUT none of that matters when the coaching isn't there. I expect Nebraska to beat Miami close just like Louisville did. Abdullah gonna cause ****.

Against an opponent that has been steamrolled their first two games this year.

Beating Nebraska is simple, just load the box. Their QB is horrible when he has to pass and it's time our secondary earned their scholarships. My concerns on offense for us are pretty much the same, although BK is better at throwing it, and PD will give them cause for concern with loading up the box.

17 points against anyone semi-decent though for us is a lofty prediction.

Pretty much guaranteed to rush 3 and play a soft zone behind it...just like Vtech last year. How'd that work out for us? SMH.

Go ******* man cover 2 and watch the nightmare that it forces nebraska into.
 
I know we beat Ark State pretty good, but that said they made some big mistakes. I mean stuff like dropping easy passes, or their QB fumbling a first down throw. I am saying this because against a slightly better executing team we are in a dogfight this past game. That will be Nebraska next week. A dogfight. We better bring our A game.

To me - this is a MAJOR - program defining game. I have f*cking season tix to the gophers. I don't know 1/4 of the gophers roster. I know every player on the Canes roster in and out. The f*cking gophers beat Nebraska last year without a head coach. This is a pivotal game for the []_[]

Nebraska maybe terrible but they do have two legit players one on each side of the ball that our corches will have no answer for as usual.. sigh......
 
Fwiw they should be ranked when we play them.
Our online better get their $h!t together or some open hits on BK leading to fumbles could torpedo even unlikely good game plan.
Quick reads and avoid slow developing plays, get some push up front for Duke et al and maybe we can see one of those entertaining Pellini meltdowns.
 
Hard to believe we haven't played the Cornhuskers since the '02 Rose Bowl Blowout. The all-time head to head series is 5-5 as well. Time to take the lead in that for good.

I've been watching Canes football a long time and because of an old mind set, believe we can win everytime we play. However, I have to agree with this post, just haven't seen anything that makes me believe this will be the one, but I am hoping. I still haven't gotten over Louisville, twice!
