Warlord the best TE in the power conferences

You know, for all the **** we gave Randy, most of his little projects turned out to be decent to above average players and most are in the NFL playing very well. And i'm not talking about the REACHES that were just obvious werent going to work. I'm talking the projects that he took such as Clive going from an unknown BBall player to TE or Sam Shields moving to CB or Luther being a very small DT that did his thing at all the camps yet never got any offers. He found them..........but coaching them up was another thing. Randy couldn't Coach a rock to lay still

Jimmy Graham
Chase Ford (I still can't believe this ****)
Allen Hurns
Sam Shields (Was a 4 star WR but a project at best CB)
Luther Robinson
Jimmy Gaines
Warlord

Luther Robinson???? That guy was a 4* DT

Clive Walford making a STRONG case for the Mackey Award through nine games. Only one Power 5 TE has more yardage (395), none w/more TDs (6).

:based-duke2:

Walford was a beast against UNC. He should have a huge game against the noles. They will be coming for Kaaya.

If you want to kill Al Golden for player development, then you gotta give him a ton of credit for Clive Walford.

3 years ago, Clive was a soft football player, who had questionable hands, and didn't run clean routes.

Now the guy looks like the black Jason Witten. Blocks like a demon in the run game. Can't seem to do anything else but catch first downs and touchdowns.

What a remarkable improvement he's shown. Deserving of all the recognition he gets.

TE's/WR's/ and even RB's are blocking better across the board. It isn't just Walford and I'm not sure how much of that is Golden.

It is Golden, because if it's not directly related to him, it's directly related to whomever he directly hired.

See, now i have to bring this back up. As much as i despise Golden and would love for him to leave this program. The guy is really only one thing away from being a great HC. I don't think the guy had a real problem developing players. Strength, responsibility, character, and nutrition is somethings that he most definitely tries hard at teaching and i think the players have really grown from it, well, the ones that actually follow him.

It shows when we see the players allowed to play with good coaching. look at the last three weeks.. the Goldenites have come out in full force because the team looks the way its supposed to look with the gameday coaching that the mopers have been begging to see for four years.

What really kills me is that the same people praising golden for his recent success were the same people trashing the players and throwing them under the bus just like golden.

Now all of a sudden our player are so dominant?

The scheme hasn't changed but the alignments and matchups have. The trust has finally kicked in. Why recruit great athletes, put them through rigorous weight training programs with an attention to nutrition just to put a leash on them in the open field?

Makes no sense.

Let those boys loose and see awards start popping up everywhere.

So really its hard to say al golden doesn't develop players. sure he isn't good at relating to the south florida thug but he can develop pretty good, imo.

If he could just let the boys play i really won't hate him as much. But ill always be a little hateful. You cant fugg with my head for three years. We could have been one the **** coastal!

When randy players do good, its Golden, when we lose its Randy for leaving them with less talent than Duke. U can't make this up. Randy got Walford from Belle Glade and basketball. He recruited Hurns when he barely had any offers and was injured. He couldn't coach them up but he found some good players.
On another note Kaaya's ball placement is unreal sometimes. Haven't had that since Dorsey. He knows how to throw players open and away from the coverage

I knew one of goldens cheerleaders wouldn't be able to resist this...lol

Pretty sure the name "Warlord" started in the AATU chatroom.

What I love about his game is, I had no idea he was that high stat wise this season. Dude just comes to work does his business and leaves. He will get PAID in the NFL.
