Clive Walford making a STRONG case for the Mackey Award through nine games. Only one Power 5 TE has more yardage (395), none w/more TDs (6).

Warlord coming.

He, along with Duke can make a lot of money by showing out against FSU in primetime.

****, the whole team stands to improve their draft stock by doing work against FSU.

If you want to kill Al Golden for player development, then you gotta give him a ton of credit for Clive Walford.

3 years ago, Clive was a soft football player, who had questionable hands, and didn't run clean routes.

Now the guy looks like the black Jason Witten. Blocks like a demon in the run game. Can't seem to do anything else but catch first downs and touchdowns.

What a remarkable improvement he's shown. Deserving of all the recognition he gets.

You know, for all the **** we gave Randy, most of his little projects turned out to be decent to above average players and most are in the NFL playing very well. And i'm not talking about the REACHES that were just obvious werent going to work. I'm talking the projects that he took such as Clive going from an unknown BBall player to TE or Sam Shields moving to CB or Luther being a very small DT that did his thing at all the camps yet never got any offers. He found them..........but coaching them up was another thing. Randy couldn't Coach a rock to lay still

Jimmy Graham
Chase Ford (I still can't believe this ****)
Allen Hurns
Sam Shields (Was a 4 star WR but a project at best CB)
Luther Robinson
Jimmy Gaines
Warlord

I always thought player development was pretty good, however the players just weren't being used to their strengths.

I see Clive helping to continue the TD streak at the next level.

And to think in one of the other threads you had guys on here saying he was a 4th rounder. LOL. Man if this guy keeps this pace up and just runs at least a 4.7 at the combine/pro day he will slide into the late 2nd/early 3rd. There is a HUGE premium on TEs in the NFL now. Everyone is looking for the next Jimmy/Gronk/Julius thomas.

When is the last time we had so many guys up for awards?

Spence and Hank were up for some stuff, but...

Kaaya's gonna win Rookie Of The Year in the ACC
Duke is gonna win POY in the ACC, might wind up in New York for the Heisman, and should be at the college football awards for Maxwell and Doak
Denzel will be in contention for DPOY in the ACC, up for the Bednarik
Warlord should win the Mackey if he keeps it up

Really cool to see the guys getting noticed for their play. We used to have these lists LITTERED with Canes.

Warlord is just a gat**** beast physically. He will impress at the combine just by stepping off the bus.

He has stepped the **** up since that last game. I hope it left as bad a taste in his mouth as it did mine. His performance in tally was downright burn the film territory. Happy to see that wasnt the type of player he is and he has taken his play to another level. Hope to see him show out against FSU in a couple weeks...

LETS EAT!

WR level vertical and hands from a man nearly twice the size of a typical WR.

he has impressed me this year, that FSU game from him last year put a bad taste in my mouth, he has been amazing this year, he needs to step up for FSU

Has everyone forgot last year's game where Salford shut the bed. He played scared and dropped some wide open balls....not believing the hype until he shows up and shows out . He needs a big game just as much as Golde
