It all going to start and end with the Quarterback.
The quarterback doesn't have to be the guy who leads the nation in TD passes and yards (though we don't mind), he could be the most efficient guy in the nation with only 2000 passing yards but a QBR over 170....He must be smart and he must know what to do with the football when it is in his hands.
2013 Teams with 10+ Wins and the QB that led his team there.
UCF - Blake Bortles
Louisville - Teddy Bridgewater
Clemson - Tajh Boyd
FSU - Jameis Winston
Duke - Boone/Connette
Michigan State - Connor Cook
Ohio State - Braxton Miller
Baylor - Bryce Petty
OU - Blake Bell/Trevor Knight
OKST - Clint Chelf/JW Walsh
Fresno State - Derek Carr
Stanford - Keith Hogan
Oregon - Marcus Mariota
Arizona State - Taylor Kelly
UCLA - Brett Hundley
USC - Cody Kessler
Mizz - James Franklin
SCAR - Connor Shaw
Auburn - Nick Marshall
Alabama - AJ McCarron
LSU - Zach Mettenberger
There were some teams with injuries to the QBs who if their starting QBs were 100% would have won 10 games such as UGA, Miami, Nebraska.
The same holds true for teams not in power conferences. Teams with the best QB's generally win more games.
We need a elite QB or an efficient QB and I think we have that now. One of the guys on the fall roster will step up and lead us to a 10+ win season.
We were projected at 7-5 by ESPN yesterday right. Odds stacked against us. New QB, same DC, RS SR has torn his ACL, local community starting to get angry at on field results, It's just us against the world.
Miami vs Anybody. At any time, any place, any stadium. We ready. The Hurricanes are coming. There is a storm brewing in South Florida. Someone sound the Alarm. Sept 1st is coming!
