Wanna go on record now UM vs FSU this year

If both teams are 4-0, this will almost certainly be a Gameday location.

As of now, there isn't a single other game that day that features two ranked teams.

The only game that even looked good on paper that they'd consider was Texas @ UiF, and that ain't happening if UiF is 1-3.

We obviously have USF and the gator at home, then a bye
Free Shoes has a bye this week, then literally the worst FBS team in the country next week (Kent State). They'll 100.0% be 3-0, and during our bye week, they play at UVA on Friday night. Weeknight games are weird, but ay fay shoe will be favored.

I think we beat them down soundly. They have a punchers chance because things can get wild in a Miami-FSU game, but our roster is stacked and there isn't a position group on the field that FSU beats our team in.

their going to be confident going into that game… still think we outclass them but I gotta see how we stop a running QB scheme wise… Carr started running and was the spark to get some of those drive across the goal line. You know teams are gonna attack us that way

I'm not trying to disrespect the kid, but COME ON. He had one 13-yard run. OK, that one was good.

Other than that:

---First TD drive - one 6-yard run that did NOT pick up a 1st down, plus a 0-yard gain.
---Second TD drive - one 6-yard run that DID pick up a 1st down, plus the 13-yard run.
---FG drive - one 7-yard run that did NOT pick up a 1st down.
---Third TD drive - one 3-yard run that did NOT pick up a 1st down, plus the 7-yard run for a TD.

So, in review. A 6-yarder went for a first down. The 13-yarder went for a first down. Plus the 7-yard TD run, which is what a QB is SUPPOSED TO DO down that close to the goalline.

Not worried.

Their 1st string this season is legit. They have completely flipped team speed. Their O is 100% based on tempo and speed. Gus's specialty. We need to keep sound gap integrity and have sound perimeters with gang tackling. Get to the ball. They don't let Castellanos throw anything intermediate because his inconsistencies. It's either short passes or deep throws. I believe we take away Duece's deep ball, man. They are good at the things that have given us problems, running QB with tempo and speed added to it. They have a big drop off with depth. The reason tempo is everything to them. Keep their O off the field. Little Jr looks like a different player this year. It could cause us problems in Doak. That ****ing band all game long. This will be my 1st time back at Doak since 17, I believe.

They have kids like Danzy and Lucas, who are pure, straight-line burners. Both of those kids are faster than anyone we have on defense. And they match what Gus does. But neither are polished route runners, they're just fast. Duce has looked good early in the year. Their line looks better. But they've played one game, really.

Both Danzy and Lucas have speed and verified times but Xavier Lucas has faster times in 100m but obviously we have to keep those guys bottled up on jet sweeps and reverses.

True, but regardless, they're really fast.

Here's my main point:

Through 2 games, one being Alabama, the other being a middle school team, FSU has 10 plays of 30+ yards.

Last year, in 12 games, they had 13 such plays.

I don't buy into any of that, either. It would be better if FSU didn't win a single game, that's how I would prefer it. Even them beating up on a patsy is something I find annoying.

Thought they had an underrated defense last year. Was lost in the shuffle with the WOATness of the offense.

More balanced team this year for sure but so are we, and we aren’t built on window dressing. We are just more physical. That will win out.
