#1 - Shouts to CharMar Brown. Thank you for your service, brother. I hope we see you next year ready to ******* go. Devastating injury. You don't replace him. He is an important piece to winning a championship. He does everything and makes plays when they matter. Gave his season for this win. Hope this is the sacrifice the football gods want, and nothing more.

#2 - Wake is a pretty good team. And they played their asses off and they put a lil extra on those hits all game long. We're hurting today after playing them. Defensive line made the interior look rough at times. Slants on slants. The game is the game though. Friday night ACC game. Got that second half work from Gio Lopez and Carlos Hernandez. Happy Hispanic Heritage Month. This game goes very south for us under many other coaches, including the one we have now in another life. He's a better coach now and knows not to lose this game.

#3 - I think the story for the game for Miami was simple...once Mensah got rocked on that first incompletion, we went in a bit of a shell and got tighter once Fletcher and Toney were out. You really want to see the other guys step up, but Dawson got tight. That was the game plan though...attack the edges. It was a weakness of Wake's coming into the game...they just really had a great week of practice, I guess. They made us pay for trying them so much out in space. They were leaving the middle open most of the game...we should have had more of that Josh Moore TD all game long.

#4 - Alofaituli is small and he's not Mark Stepnoski, brother. Should be our utility guy that plays in jumbo packages as an extra lineman. He's got a skillset, but he's small. Usable, but not at LG. The interior needs to clean up the comms and clean up their understanding of the playcall. Silly mistakes. I don't think you wanted Cantwell out there for this one, but he should have been out there. They would have ****ed with his head all night with the slants, I'm sure. But the boy has to learn. We're tiny on the interior right now and could use him badly right now. Its a shame he's not ready for right tackle, McCoy at LG is missed and is probably the missing piece. I'm trying to be patient...offensive line needs reps together and this unit is just starting to work together, but the lack of size on the interior is tough with our run style.

#5 - Damon Wilson took away a turnover and cost us a drive that lead to Wake getting back into the game. Three games against our lightest work...Reuben Bain he is not.
Did a single person think Wilson was Bain?

He's playing for one simple reason but I'll probably get banned for saying it
Are you saying in 1492 Christopher COLUMBUS sailed the ocean blue, so Rodriguez gotta start?

Which begs the question. Why isn’t he playing center. Also, where the criticism of Ryan Rodriguez. I’ve been saying it for 5 years. Ryan Rodriguez isn’t an FBS center. He’s slow and weak.
The issue is that's a lot to ask the center to be able to block there. It's litearly asking him to seal a dt lined up inside of the guard to the left of him. YOu can see Rodriguez trying hard to get him turned so rodriguezs back is the the left like the hole is supposed to be off the lg. But that just from the idea of it has little hope of working

Like if SJ downblocks and Rodriguez gets up to 2nd level....? Or if Rodriguez isn't trying to turn him there, just block and kick him out... but that's not what theyre doing

The angles just make no sense. SJs was bad just cause he took a ****ed angle. Rodriguezs was bad from the play and dline alignment.

This is insanity.

What do you think Miamis record will be at the end of the regular season?
I’m not worried about regular season just yet— but I’m not seeing enuf with the fl s D$ listed (and most of us saw for ourselves) to see us gong far into the CFP in reality-
Talented but also flaws- we are not a balanced or complete team thus far

When you’re still searching for stability in the offensive line going into game 4– that’s less that optimal guys:

Not insanity- cold dispassionate analysis

Why do i feel like we lost.. second note and thought... Mensah not a heisman

Him and cantwell both probably won’t be ready this year

that would be a major problem. Need one of them to contribute this year
If you don’t get them in there exactly how will they progress and be ready- gotta take their limps like CiCi did

And TBH they cannot be worse than the stuffs we’re lining up game after game thus far—

Mirabal needs to retool and grow a set and out these kids into the breach- there no shortcut and no progression by getting snaps in garbage time guys— let’s just call this what it is../

I’m not concerned about OL. Mario is giving guys an opportunity while getting the freshmen up to speed. The OL will come together.
Sorry- I was willing to go with that until I saw the film../ too many whiffs and blown assignments on that offensive line— that o line in its present configuration is well… offensive

Where is Barkate?
He’s running longer developing routes and Mali is thrown too before he can come open.
That said, the first couple games you could tell when they schemed a pass for Barkate to get something, but it wasn’t often. But that was missing against Wake. You’d think if Dawson was going to give Mensah the ball when Toney got hurt, that would be the time to dial up plays for those two, but thats not what Dawson called.

It’s not like they haven’t had a lot of success against the same caliber (or better) competition last year. To me, that is an indictment of Dawson not always being able to adjust in moments of adversity as quickly as he needs to.

Really really really wish we had Tommy Kinsler huh?
Completely bungled the portal this year. We good as last year was, this year was equally as bad
In fairness— the entire portal construct is f’d….

Remember— we and every team in the CFP was at a disadvantage coming into the January portal earlier this year—

We (and others) were stretched so thin between game planning and traveling game to game on the fly— and trying to get guys to sign (yeah I know we have staff to get these things done) but we couldn’t really focus on the portal how we might have if we weren’t seeking the title….. not an excuse- but a harsh reality

Him and cantwell both probably won’t be ready this year
If that’s the case they should have paid the price for Seaton or we potentially waste another top talent at QB without getting a title!!!
Exactly!!!! Of if they can’t get seaton you tell me you couldn’t find an experience oline in the portal???? GTFOH.
We were in the throes of competing for a national championship- that was first and foremost— we took swings and missed— a bit over stretched me thinks

Fair point, but I’d counter with indianas portal class being excellent. Well thought out and methodical.
