VT the type of game that Golden gets exposed in

Luckily for us VT is not that good, but you don't have to be good to beat the Al-Dorito combination. If their defense plays well against us then we loose.

Only way we beat them is to put 8 men on the line of scrimmage and trust our corners to cover their 2 -3 star receivers in press coverage.

Golden will never do that because he doesn't trust his players.

agreed, and I hate to revert to the past, but I think offendively we need to go with what got us our last W there in 05, run the ball down their throat

Miami's not going to be able run the ball.

Foster is going to implement the same gameplan as Louisville. VT is going to bring 8 man fronts to stop the run and the Hokies are going to blitz the **** out of Kaaya.

Miami should be working on their protection packages, their slants, wheel routes, hot reads to try to expose VT's pressure. Coley needs to nix all slow developing plays from the playbook. Everything needs to be "quick" and "precise."

And I don't want to hear a postgame press conference from Golden that VT threw some defensive wrinkles at Miami that they weren't expecting. VT's gameplan should be very clear to Miami's coaches.

we run slants???

I'm not sure how VT plays well on defense will make our guys loose. If anything it might tighten them up a bit.

I've watched VT a couple times this year and they blitz the **** out you. Guys coming from all over the place, confusing the oline. I love Kaaya but he's still a true freshman and he hasn't faced pressure like this.

Thursday night, to boot.

Will be a low-scoring game. Their defense is elite this year, but their offense is really bad. i think it comes down to special teams and turnovers. Since it's being played at their place, I think that gives them the edge.

VT is not good. But I think they lose @Pitt this Thursday (where they typically struggle) looking pretty bad, then come back next Thursday at beat us at home (where we typically struggle) looking pretty good.

I believe these next 2 games for VT are going to be the cause of the wheels REALLY coming off for us.

Give Al an extra 3 days to prepare, and he will have Flubberneck scratching his pouch in bewilderment.

Canes huge.

Lock of the year lay the points with VT. What ever the spread is Folden and his coaching gives a team with a pulse 10 points.

VT is not very good....agreed.

Player for player we are far superior.

However, Beamer knows the only way he is going to win is to make the other team uncomfortable.

Golden is the exact opposite. His philosophy is to play soft and hope the other team makes mistakes.

Golden won't be aggressive because he is worried about what might happen if he is. Beamer doesn't care if he gets beat as long as he is being aggressive.

Virginia Tech will be the more motivated team. That's the Fury of Anti Revenge reality you face when you lose to a team at home and then face them at their place. The Hokies will remember walking all over us as a touchdown underdog, and salivate at the prospect of sticking it to us again.

We really need to be prepared for their energy at the beginning of the game. I'm not sure Kaaya will understand the situational difference compared to any game he faced since Louisville, which also was in Anti Revenge at home.

Of course, it's not as powerful in midseason. Too many distracting variables have intervened with their team, like consecutive home losses to East Carolina and Georgia Tech. Louisville, in contrast, had the ideal scenario with 8 months and nothing to anticipate besides another bludgeoning.

For those who say VT has no offense. How bout last year?
How bout the gimp team whose offense hung 27 on us?

Whatd we score on GT defense again? Yeah. Cut that in half.
Now throw in Gorlden's defense.

34-10 Hokies

This is all about Kaaya. Facing VT on the road will do good for him next year. Thats all we can hope for this game. Golden and the hobbit will be gone soon enough

I just hope Kayaa makes it through that game in one piece. Foster will send the house at him and VT plays dirty against us.
