VT game will tell us what to expect from Enos the rest of the year.

you'll know nothing has changed on the first play JW goes under center - either we run up the middle or he gets sacked after dropping back and looking like a deer in headlights with the .5 seconds he has to get rid of the ball..
We dont run on first down. It's going to be play action on first.

Going under center, using the fb greatly interrupts the flow of the offense. In the cmu game we were moving the ball well with the rpo, quick passing game but after a few first downs we go back to those sh*tty formations and waste plays because nothing good comes of it

It's amazing that people look at the slop we run out there on offense and actually believe that we would be putting up Oklahoma-type points if we would just call the right plays.
Gotta agree when it comes to the offensive line. Looking at their performance thus far, I find it hard to believe that our older lineman couldn't perform better than these freshman.

I said the VT game because it would at least show a willingness to adapt and get away from what's not working.

The slow playaction **** didn't work games 1,2, or 3 but he still did it in game 4. When he came out the second half with Jarren in shotgun I had some help we would drop 40+ in the second half but then we went right back to under center slow playaction and the OL was eaten alive by a MAC school. A 2 win MAC school had our OL looking just as bad as a top 10 Florida did lol What a joke this program has become.

I'm not backtracking on anything. This board has thrived on the false idea that we have as much talent as any team in the country. They think we just need different coaches. Look at any Mike Leach thread. "Imagine what he would do with our talent..."

You're just frustrated because you used exaggeration to criticize someone for exaggerating. Rookie mistake.
Crazy how dialed in you are on the board after your whole 3 days here.

I realize people are down on the offense and rightfully so, Saturday was awful in so many respects. With that said we are only 4 games into Manny's tenure here and I'm not ready to jump ship even though there are some serious red flags with his game-day coaching.

One of Diaz's strengths as a DC was his willingness to adapt and change to get results. This brings me to Enos and the offense. If we see more slow-developing play-action 8 step drops against VT we are in for another long day. Enos must show that he truly is willing to tailor the offense to the skill set of the QB. Let's see Jarren in the shotgun and spread the offense out a little more. Enos called this offense the spread-coast but I have seen very little spread and packing everything in so tight is killing the running game because our OL is a huge liability. Would also love to see Enos have Jarren use his legs more, Williams needs that internal clock to go off and then take off an get some yardage. If Enos doesn't change anything I will be terribly disappointed.

He already adapted by running so much of the in-tight two TE sets you're talking about - as a counter to the UF game. That didn't work against CMU, because there was no real penalty for them stacking the box. We couldn't run against that, and it set up easy blitz packages for them. That it didn't work isn't the issue - he thought it might as an attempt to solve a problem.

He's either going have to run different plays out of that formation, or switch formation. Would have like to see an in-game transition, though.

So find me the person here who said that Miami should be scoring 55.7 points per game.
No one has said that but they did use Oklahoma as an example of what we would be (with "So Fla speed") if we ran the spread.

We continue to give rope to Enuts. Why? Four games in is a good sample size to evaluate this "****-poor" performance. Enuts has let us down. I will not make excuses for the players either. Football is about domination and entertainment. Sadly folks, we have been let down.

As the saying goes he will eventually he will hang himself with all that rope

Pretty sure when Manny went after Enos and gave him $1M/yr he gave Enos FULL CONTROL of the offense. Personnel, coaches, scheme, etc...

If so, Manny is either gonna need to force Enos to adjust, pray Enos adjusts himself (dude seems stubborn...), or fire him after 1 year. Otherwise Manny will fail like Golden and Richt cause they hired ****** coordinators

****. 4 games in and no adjustments to the offense. And what makes you think that he is going to change now.

Agreed. Enos has shown a pretty sharp offensive mind and has drawn up some creative plays so I'm still holding on to a shred of hope that he's not too proud to realize his offensive line is not good enough to do exactly what he wants and he's got to alter the play calling, at least for the remainder of this season.
Creative plays?? Did you watch GA and ND Saturday?? Those teams (hate them both) were outstanding offenses up against very good defenses

I totally agree. In fact Enos should change up his plan with new wrinkled not yet shown. If his acumen is so varied and effective, let us see stuff that would present a whole new O in schemes.
Very well stated Canesfan1899

His judgment is what I find most suspect. I don't understand why at any point, he thought with a very green offensive line (if not worse) running pro-style, drop-back, play-action passes was going to be successful. Heck, even the NFL has gotten away from a lot of his philosophies.

I don't care how drunk Bud Foster is, if he is even remotely engaged, it's a plus matchup for VT unless Enos radically changes his gameplan.

Like I said before, Diaz has shown in the past the willingness to adjust and adapt. Now we need to see him force the offense to change

You think CMU and UF gave this offense ****, wait till Bud Foster come to town. That mf’er gone send the house with zero coverage behind. Jarren better work on that deep ball or this game going to not go well
