VT game will tell us what to expect from Enos the rest of the year.

The difference is at least now, we run more than two route combinations. The problem with Richt's offense, besides poor quarterback play, was the predictability. They only ran like 3 different types of routes and always in the same combinations.

I agree. That's why I said reminiscent instead of identical. Those mirrored routes drove me crazy.

I realize people are down on the offense and rightfully so, Saturday was awful in so many respects. With that said we are only 4 games into Manny's tenure here and I'm not ready to jump ship even though there are some serious red flags with his game-day coaching.

One of Diaz's strengths as a DC was his willingness to adapt and change to get results. This brings me to Enos and the offense. If we see more slow-developing play-action 8 step drops against VT we are in for another long day. Enos must show that he truly is willing to tailor the offense to the skill set of the QB. Let's see Jarren in the shotgun and spread the offense out a little more. Enos called this offense the spread-coast but I have seen very little spread and packing everything in so tight is killing the running game because our OL is a huge liability. Would also love to see Enos have Jarren use his legs more, Williams needs that internal clock to go off and then take off an get some yardage. If Enos doesn't change anything I will be terribly disappointed.

Not jumping ship either, but the honeymoon is clearly over, and there are systemic issues with the program. Especially when we have regressed in some ways since week 1 (there is a difference between a bad game and going backwards). Otherwise I agree with your points above. Also Baker is getting too much of a pass given we haven't played an offense with a pulse, yet. We have more issues on defense than we did last year.

And give Jarren the chance to see what's coming. He clearly is slow to identify and see the play developing in front of him. Common sense would tell you that having him turn his back on the defense for the first second of the play is only going to slow his recognition down further.

Absolutely need to spread the field and give JW 1-2 reads then run, dump off, or throw away. Every now and then you can build off the quick game a take a shot when you have favorable down and distances to work with, but it's got to be off max protect and JW has to be facing downfield.

All **** needs to do is pull out the game plan he had for Tate in the spring game, dust it off, and hand it to Jarren and tell him he needs to learn it this week and master it next week.

Foster is gonna have a field day with our OL. Enos really needs to adjust IMO by relying more on operating out of the gun and utilizing the RPO game from there. We need Jarren turning his back to the defense as little as possible with this OL.

He better get multiple QBs ready. Jarren might get broken in two by the end of the first half...

You could literally call the play with Richt by knowing the down and distance and the formation. Opposing defenses were doing just that.

This offense isn't that bad, as far as predictability. Unfortunately, execution and other issues lead to the same net effect. The offense is no good.

The first 4 games have already thematically set what Miami will be on offense.

We won't learn anything new with games here on out.

Now, will there be progress as coaches and players "get it"?

Remains to be seen. I am still hopeful for all positions except OL.

Agreed. Enos has shown a pretty sharp offensive mind and has drawn up some creative plays so I'm still holding on to a shred of hope that he's not too proud to realize his offensive line is not good enough to do exactly what he wants and he's got to alter the play calling, at least for the remainder of this season.

We continue to give rope to Enuts. Why? Four games in is a good sample size to evaluate this "****-poor" performance. Enuts has let us down. I will not make excuses for the players either. Football is about domination and entertainment. Sadly folks, we have been let down.

My point is he needs to show a willingness to adapt and change. I truly believe he thought we could just line up and beat the **** out of Central Michigan but we just aren't there on the OL personnel-wise. He needs to scheme much better to get Jarren into a rhythm and to hide the weaknesses of the OL.

There's a small part of me that hopes we didn't open the playbook much against bethune and CMU to keep our conference opponents guessing. There's a bigger part of me that's punching that smaller part in the face for being a ******* idiot. I really hope we adjust though instead of beating our heads against the wall. VT game can't get here fast enough.

I'm in the same boat, I'm truly hoping we see a different plan of attack in our ACC schedule and not the same tired excuses. Yes, I get the offense needs to execute better but if they're making the same mistakes it's time to look at what they can do and plan accordingly.

It's amazing that people look at the slop we run out there on offense and actually believe that we would be putting up Oklahoma-type points if we would just call the right plays.

The two most important games for Enos future as an OC at another school, as an OC at our school and certainly as a future HC, will be the next two.

Any mouth breathing moron who's watched CFB for more than a couple of seasons know that we have a combo of a terrible OL and a playbook that doesn't compensate for that fact. He has the the next two games to prove that he's not just a QB whisperer with no real pressure on him, but is the goods.

He gets paid very well for this, his full time job. He has 2 weeks essentially, to make adjustments for a terrible OL and a QB who holds the ball too long as he goes through his progressions and check downs.

Who's saying this? I think you just made this up. I know there's some delusional people but I don't think anybody believes that we'd be scoring 60 points a game just by calling a couple different plays.
