VT easiest power 5 schedule

That’s the thing about the ACC outside of Clemson A bunch of mediocre teams that are never good enough to string together BCS playoff level seasons, and usually don’t do well when opponents have time to game plan against them. But they’re also talented enough to catch anyone by surprise and knock em off. Top 15-40 type teams.

I was at the BC game last season and it wasn’t just our offense that looked putrid. Our defense disappeared for the entire first half and half of the third quarter. They fooled us with trick plays and just out coached us. ... Va Tech, UVA, Duke, etc.. We “should” handily beat them all. But can’t be asleep as the wheel. Got to take all of them seriously

They also return 6 of their top 7 tacklers from a year ago.

Exactly. They heard about the transfers and figured they were all the best players on the team. Can’t count how many seasons VTs supposed to have sucks and been a more than solid team

Which is why I always laugh at people who say we play in the weakest division in P5.

It's not a murder's row, but it's a tricky schedule and they're ALWAYS up to play us.
 
this is the vt team i least have any expectations for. We honestly should be able to run the ball at will on them..i dont see the usual talent they have on Defense Line.

Foster still will be solid but they arent as talented as usual...i dont care who all they return that team was bad last year

Acc coastal is no different than sec east...they just get hyped because they play ins tadiums with bigger crowds and espn/cbs blew alot of money ont hem for ratings. The coastal isnt the weakest division at all. But let them tell it

Big ten West and Pac 12 south are a joke as well, just wanted to throw that out there

To further that, I doubt many of them will speak up about their wanting Fuentes. I know one won't, the living legend himself, who to this day has never once admitted he was wrong.

For the record though, nobody is a ***** for predicting a coach will be good. Fuentes did look like he had potential, he still may, but I wanted better.

Agreed but the game this year is at home and we’ve won the last 2 in the series comfortably. And this before having a real man’s offense. Bud Foster is a great DC but I’m smelling more booze than defensive ooze this year from his squad. Sure they bring back the kitchen sink but they’ve lost a bunch of players to either injury or transfer via the Portal. Hill was smart to get out before the fire grows this season. I believe the other team in Virginia is going to give us all we can handle again this year in UVA more so than being concerned overly with the Hokies.
 
With the exception of the Bethune's on our schedule for the immediate future I wont be feeling comfortable that we can just go out and beat let alone blow someone out.
I'm hoping this staff is going to change all that and soon.
 
There’s a chance they are 4-0 when they come to us. They start at BC play 2 scrubs then get Duke at home.

They could be ranked in the 20s and set up a prime time game.
