Media been real quiet about Miami and the QB position. Either Miami already has a solve in place quietly behind the scenes, or we have done nothing in this space. Seems oddly quiet these days. Even the rumors have died down since end of November.

Mario might not be taking the lead on the portal right now. But the portal staff is definitely working behind the scenes on someone.

If Lagway was available, I’d think that’s a no brainer. That kid is a pretty good qb, on a bad squad.

I don’t like what I hear about the Leavitt kid as far as a locker room presence. Your QB has to be a positive influence, and I’m not sure he’s it.

I’m interested in Bailey, but I don’t love his arm strength. The ball just doesn’t seem to zip out of there. Good defenses make him look limited. But I haven’t exactly watched a lot of non-Canes football. So that’s probably not an accurate/fair assessment.

I’d like to think Raiola comes here but I think it’s CJ Bailey. Holding out a sliver of hope it’s Mestemaker and we have a two year monster but I think it’s going to be CJ.

I found it interesting that Reese Poff Poff Pass Poffenbarger is Mestemaker's backup QB at UNT.

After watching Mestemaker the other night, I think he needs too much work to be a plug and play QB. Super talented, but he needs work, and a lot of it. Maybe he can make a big jump. He can make every throw, but he can also miss every throw.

Yes, they brought in Poffwhatever to start and Mestemaker beat him out. He was a walk on who never started a varsity game in high school.
