Vols' in trouble? Again in 2024.

"After guiding the Volunteers to an 8-5 record in 2019, Pruitt was rewarded with a two-year contract extension that boosted his annual salary to $4.2 million. The contract runs through the 2025 season. If Tennessee were to fire Pruitt without cause, it would owe him a buyout of about $12.8 million, or 60% of the remaining money owed under the deal.

Pruitt is scheduled to receive a $200,000 retention bonus on Feb. 15.

Under the terms of Pruitt's contract, if the university fires him with cause, he "shall not be entitled to further salary, compensation, benefits, perquisites, or any other athletically related income or benefits derived by virtue of Coach's position as Head Football Coach, from the University."

This is pretty simple. Do you think the university would retain outside counsel if they didn't want Pruitt gone? They ****ed up by giving him the ole Hecht Extension. They absolutely cannot afford to pay another buyout but the fanbase will not put up with more of what he's done until 2025. This is their get out of jail free card in my opinion

Remember that time Odell Beckham Jr. Openly gave out cash when LSU won the championship??? Good times!! $EC, $EC!

Tennessee will be getting punished for this instead

There are two reasons schools open investigations on themselves:

1) to “catch” themselves doing something minor in order to maintain their more major, under the table practices

2) to find a reason that gives the university purpose to fire a coach with cause and avoid paying the buyout

This is very obviously scenario #2. I will not pigeon hole all compliance departments into this accusation as a good amount do what they should, but

MANY don’t serve their true purpose, instead helping coaching staffs, bag men, etc. do their dealings while avoiding the consequences.

HOW IN THE F*** DOES EVERY OTHER SEC SCHOOL GET INTO TROUBLE EXCEPT FOR ALABAMA... LSU, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Florida have all had some heat on them recently for something. Are they paying off the NCAA? What is it? No way they're squeaky clean.
This was seven years ago:

This was three years ago:

This was two years ago:

Alabama also annually self-reports minor violations around July 4th, and is apparently never punished for it:

There is never any punishment. The program is untouchable. The players could literally be gifted F-35s and free pilot training and could do a mass V/STOL landing outside of the Alabama stadium on game day and not only would there be no punishment, ESPN would not raise any suspicion over it. They'd instead gush about Alabama's great pilot training program and how it reflects on the fantastic Crimson Tide Students Who Are Also Involved In Athletics.

“The sources told ESPN that Tennessee's recruitment of Amarius Mims, the No. 3 offensive tackle and No. 19 player overall in the 2021 ESPN 300, is part of the compliance department's inquiry. Mims signed with Georgia.”

So apparently, the recruitment of Mims set off a bunch of red flags with respect to recruiting violations. Wouldn’t it be logical to ask that if Tennessee was breaking rules and trying to sign Mims, what did Georgia do to get his sig on the dotted line?

Maybe the NCAA might want to look at Georgia, as well.

But of course, they won’t. Tennessee is just sloppy in the way they cheat, Georgia is just better at hiding it.

Naturally both school and both coaches learned from the master of hidden recruiting violations, it’s just that Tennessee fūcked it up in typical Tennessee fashion.

They should have said that these were all Spongebob fans, and that what was being passed out was Bubble Money from Bubble Buddy.

Bro; when ur empowered to get away w/ chit, ur audacity becomes King Kong. It starts off small, then before u know it, u get to Monopoly money excuses. It’s like a child that’s never disciplined....they do little chit to see what they can get away w/, then habitually push the line before egregiously crossing it.

The blue bloods of the SEC can have a naked hooker giving top top on the sideline & nothing will happen to them. She’ll just be classified as a “deep tissue massage therapist” and she’s only naked to the visible, but to the invisible eye, she’s fully clothed. Lol

When will you guys open your eyes and realize it’s not the Hecht extension. It’s the every school in college football extension

It was a rogue-SEC team, Tennessee, that was the only school in the SEC to break the rules. Then, politely, Tennessee did the gentlemanly thing by backing off of Mims when they realized they'd made an inadvertent recruiting mistake. The other law-abiding SEC programs clutched their pearls and held on to their drinks, while they tried to do Tennessee a favor by offering Mims alternative educational opportunities. At no time did UGa or any other SEC school violate the rules, and they have no knowledge of what would have inspired or driven Tennessee to break the rules all on their own.

Bunch of dummies. They desperately want to be upper echelon, but fall flat on their face with every attempt. Obviously, Priuitt wasn’t a very good student of the master Sabag. If they can’t find cause to **** can Pruitt, their desperation will lead to enough “donors” to pony up the $$$ to give rid of him aight.
