I disagree. Personally, I think Golden is already gone. Either he's fired after Pitt or he leaves for the "greener pastures" of Rutgers, UVA, or Unnamed-Directional-Midwest University where the only planes flying are cropdusters and 9 wins gets you a pat on the back and a cookie. The environment here is too toxic on all sides - I honestly don't think there's even a decision anymore. In my opinion, Al Golden will not coach the Miami Hurricanes in 2016.

i still don't understand why the goal isn't to win the ACC. isn't that the point to belonging to a conference, is to compete for it? it's truly like they're saying "our goal is to win the coastal but it's totally cool if we get destroyed in the conference ship game".

Because if you win the coastal, it usually means(ACC-wise) that you are at least 7-5, and are going to a bowl game against a somewhat **** albeit underachieving SEC team. It's their way of saying that you won something. They can still hang on to that technically because we have never won the division since coming to the conference, so winning it most DEFINITELY be pointed to as progress whether the record is 7-5, 8-4, or 9-3 by this staff and administration.

I simply don't root right now. Wins or losses. Whatever it will be, will be. I do think Coach Golden needs to fail to make it to the coastal. I believe he will.

I enjoy watching us play and hate to lose as well. In my mind though I dont think Golden will leave on his own accord. On paper our team is stacked next year. Kaaya will be a JR and the line will be more mature. Yearby, Walton and Gus will be above average. Our D-Line on paper is the best we have had since 2002. Dbacks will be solid. He also has a **** of a recruiting class coming in.

I think he digs in if Blake lets him. My only hope is that if he is not fired and he does stay that he scraps D'Nofrio and goes for an outside D-Coordinator. Ill say it again Bud Foster would turn us around immediately on defense.

That quote should be repeated ad nauseam through a megaphone at Blake James, Al Golden, and any other UM rep when the words ACC Coastal are uttered publicly as some sort of benchmark expectation for a coach in his fifth year at Miami.

Who said that banners don't work? They work and can not stop. The pressure has to be maintained. The BOT would be perfectly happy to have a mediocre season and retain Fraulden for 2016. However, what they're NOT seeing is his incredible INCOMPETENCE as a Head Corch. It's his complete state of being a LOSER that will guarantee a failing record, and his firing. He has ZERO chance of having even as poor a season as last.

Exactly. He hasn't changed his staff voluntarily in over 10 years of him coaching. Why would he start now?

I'm sorry, but I've seen no evidence that the BOT is concerned about protecting the former U brand. Those dunderheads not only sat on their hands last year, but for the past 12 years. They have made hiring error after hiring error; not just the Head Coach, but also the Athletic Director. They continue to compound their errors each day by insulting the very same fan base they want to support the team. That is expertise in IDIOCY! How is that protecting the brand?

BTW, it's far too late to "nip it in the bud". That would have been at the end of last season. They'll now have to suffer the justifiable fan vitriol. They made their bed, then ****ed and schitt in it.
