Vishnu calls Fake James onto the carpet

All his articles are dead on!! He gets it and knows how to eloquently use his words.

I guess I am naive but I think this *** hat is going to retain Golden. Kaaya will get us to 7-8 wins and possibly a Coastal title. Plenty in James' mind to keep him and tout "progress".

Im Sick!!

I disagree. Personally, I think Golden is already gone. Either he's fired after Pitt or he leaves for the "greener pastures" of Rutgers, UVA, or Unnamed-Directional-Midwest University where the only planes flying are cropdusters and 9 wins gets you a pat on the back and a cookie. The environment here is too toxic on all sides - I honestly don't think there's even a decision anymore. In my opinion, Al Golden will not coach the Miami Hurricanes in 2016.

I agree with this statement.

I hear what both of you are saying.....and normally with a semi competent set of administrators that would be the case.

However, we're dealing with a deadly intersection of apathy and incompetence here. If Golden somehow pulls out a miracle against Clemson and finishes the year with 8 or 9 wins I'd take bets that he doesn't get fired.

We're dealing with the worst administration in the country. Period. Anything is possible with these clowns. This is exactly why I continue to root for losses...I just don't trust the people involved.

It would be really fun for this fan base if he was hired at UVA in the off season....would make that annual game alot more interesting...

also I think that is a strong possibility

He's already proven himself to be a man with no morals.

He only cares about money. He's not leaving unless that new job pays good money - albeit it could be less than what he's currently on.

As I've said previously, if James is smart (which I question) he'd fire Al and hire Butch Davis immediately.

Not only is he cheap (which is an easier sell to the money men after paying off Golden), but he's in a win-win situation. If Butch succeeds, Blake can slink back in to the shadows and continue to collect his undeserved pay cheque. If Butch fails he can wash his hands of the hire "Well, fans, I hired the man you want".

You think UVA is going to hire the bytch of the guy they're firing? Classic CIS.

Article was spot on. Amen.
Unfortunately I think they following things are true.

A) Blake will twist anything that can be interpreted in any way as an improvement over last year as a way to keep Golden.

B) If he does fire him we should be terrified of Blake James conducting a HC search.

C) We should be terrified of Blake James conducting a HC interview. Remember candidates are judging you as much as you are judging them.

D) It's clear Blake himself or his people view this board.

E) We are screwed. Only hope is that they luck into a good hire if they even do anything at all.

"[W]e're dealing with a deadly intersection of apathy and incompetence here."

Great stuff - very well-said.

"...Because he came here from Maine to do marketing then fell *** backwards into the athletic director job after so many quit that he met the stringent requirement of “will not leave?”

So f'n good

Goes to show you, the BOT isn't going to fire James (An AD finally willing to put up with the admins micromanaging) because of some banners. He's a puppet. The problems the BOT and they can't fire themselves. We have to hope there's been some type of shift since Shalala left. Who's willing to bet there's been one?

Vishnu does not nail it nor does he seem to understand how this works. In sports coaches often have 100% public support until the minute they have no support. We all know James is not a strong AD. Lets see if the new President gives him more power and lets see what he does with it. If they won't give him more power, they should fire him. In his defense, he did not hire or extend Golden and the clear majority of the BOT and boosters did not want him fired last year because of the huge buyout.

No need to stoop to name calling. Blake James is very polite & perhaps says too much when asked. If it were Paul Dee, he would have cut the person off asking the questions with 1 or 2 abrupt responses/end of interview. I'm not concerned about Blake James. He will recommend or be told to fire Al Golden at the conclusion of the season & Al will be gone. Again, the trustees are very concerned about protecting the U Brand & will nip this in the bud before it goes any further in the tank. All of them are getting an earful at this point & you can't pick up a newspaper or read ESPN without another story of Golden getting closer to the door.

The only thing that might save him at this point would be winning ALL of the remaining games & the team is so inconsistent that it's unlikely that this can be accomplished.

I am actually VERY concerned about Flake James. He is the worst AD we've ever had, BY FAR. He's a glorified ticket salesman, with NO DRIVE whatsoever to win. All of his comments scream out that he's a beta faqgot who only cares about bringing in donations, ****** hashtags, and planning ****** non conference schedules (yes, AT FAU is stupid, AT Arkansas State is stupid, AT Toledo is retarded, etc).

How about this Tranny James. How about you make a real decision for once and fire Golden, bring in Butch, and watch as wins = donations = more revenue streams = great visibility for the university.

Can't expect much from him though, considering he's a ******* idiot who's clearly in over his head.

poor vish, wastes all his time with these articles. we know golden, doritos and james sucks. the fact that james even addresses the media shows he is feeling the heat.

i still don't understand why the goal isn't to win the ACC. isn't that the point to belonging to a conference, is to compete for it? it's truly like they're saying "our goal is to win the coastal but it's totally cool if we get destroyed in the conference ship game".

Because if you win the coastal, it usually means(ACC-wise) that you are at least 7-5, and are going to a bowl game against a somewhat **** albeit underachieving SEC team. It's their way of saying that you won something. They can still hang on to that technically because we have never won the division since coming to the conference, so winning it most DEFINITELY be pointed to as progress whether the record is 7-5, 8-4, or 9-3 by this staff and administration.

Exactly why creating nonsensical goals is the worst possible way to evaluate a coach or player.

Miami could fall *** backward into the ACC champ game with a very poor record. Making it to that game does not in any way directly reflect the talent of the head coach or adequately serve as an indication of the coach’s ability?

Golden is not a good coach. He has already demonstrated that over several years and several games. Accidentally, winning the coastal does not suddenly make him a talented coach or worthy of the position.

We all know that in the SEC he would have been fired 2 years ago. At most major programs he would have been fired last year. Only at Miami is there some bizarre evaluation system that allows a coach who has absolutely proven to be poor at his job, keep his position. Not only that, but with the promise of keeping it in the future if he wins the coastal, even if accidentally, regardless of his team’s record or on field performance.

James and probably many in the admin are on their knees praying that Golden wins the coastal because they simply do not want to fire him.

I’m sorry. There is absolutely zero indication, at this time, which would lead anyone to believe that any corrective measures will be taken now, at the end of the season or at any point in the future.

It's not that it's one of the goals for the season but it's the fact that it appears to be the top/only goal of this season. The only goal that should ever be set at the beginning of a football season at the University of Miami should be to win the national championship. If the head coach or any player/coach can't handle that, he doesn't belong here. The problem we all have with Al Golden is that he would darn near soil his shorts if he ever actually achieved one of the goals that he sets. Meanwhile, the true Miami fans who get it would never be happy with just setting the goal of winning the Coastal or the ACC championship. It's fine to set those as goals toward the ultimate goal but having the main goal of the season be to win the coastal or the ACC championship is completely unacceptable.

Blake James seems overly concerned with people's feelings....most importantly, his and Golden's.

Blake reeks of softshoulderness.

Blake James clearly doesn't get it. He doesn't get the Hurricanes, he doesn't get Miami. He's not one of us. Calling out the banner fliers... does he not know that the people flying the banners are the same ones sitting in the stands? They ARE the miami core fan base. Everyone else has tuned it out over 12 years of mediocrity and disappointment.

When I toured Miami in 1999, my mom asked if our guide went to the games. She said, "no, I just use the Metro pass to go to Dadeland Mall." So Blake shouldn't be worried about the banners over the stadium, he should be worried about the empty seats. He should be worried about the students and alumni who have better things to do than watch the U. Because if this program doesn't improve, he'll have no banners and more empty seats, less alumni participation, more students at the mall.

Calling out Blake James for the football program is like calling out motel 6 for your cars failing transmission.

The two things just aren't related.
