I have no fckin clue, and neither do you.
Well, actually, I'm not a detective, but one might think crutches and a walking boot on Tuesday to be some sort of a clue as to how healthy a person might be come Saturday.
I mean, if I'm on crutches, you can pretty much count my *** out of work for a week, and I have a desk job. I'm not trying to stop 300 lb athletes from getting past me 80 times for an hour.
Yeah, you have a desk job. You're not a scholarship athlete about to get drafted.
Nitpicking my statement is fine but my original point stands true. I think we're all assuming if this guy plays he won't stand a chance against our d line because of the injury. We just simply don't know how this guy's feeling. Plenty of times the boot and crutches can be PRECAUTIONARY. I'm just trying to tell everyone there's a reason he's questionable and not doubtful or already ruled out.
He's questionable because he don't want to give Diaz a definite backup to game plan on. Fuente wants us to have to contend with the fact that they may have a health O-line, instead of being able to spend a week game planning on a weakness. It was on another thread earlier, but we've film studied their backup LT who came in in relief last week. He's a 5th year SR with good size at 6'8", but has no bend, and not nearly enough athletic ability to contend with our edge rushers. I mean, it's a pretty standard rule that if you haven't won a job by your 5th year, it's because of some glaring deficiency. Fuente obviously wants us to have to plan for the chance that their starter my be healthy.
I don't blame him. As a defensive coach, you have to respect it. But I'm just a fan, and I'm throwing out my opinion that it's all smoke and mirrors and the guy gets no where near the field.
