Vinny T is a ***boi - 86 Orange Bowl v. Oklahoma

He was paid; I don’t care what anyone says. Dude was a Heisman Trophy Winner, and he found some inexplicable way to stall all of our drives. Him, not the team, him. We absolutely smoked PSU that game in every single category. He was gift wrapping ints, throwing it in to triple coverage sometimes.

U don’t go from looking like Tom Brady during the reg season, to NFL Jeff George in the bowl game. Guys we’re running wide open & he chose to throw it in between 2-3 PSU defenders every productive drive? Naw....he was paid off.

If you haven’t read this, give it a shot. It’s depressing, but accurately describes what happened.

Mark Seelig also took a payoff, he missed a 28 yard FG earlier in the game that would have had Miami down 14-13 at the end of the game, only needing a FG to win.

Warren Williams also took a payoff, for dropping the ball on third down.

John Shaffer also took a payoff, but he refunded the money, because his 5 of 16 for 53 yards and 1 INT performance wasn't bad enough for Ped State to lose. So even though Shaffer had 2 consecutive ****ty bowl game performances, his two worst games out of his last 66, somehow Testaverde was the guy who MUST have taken a payoff because his two bad games came in 2 consecutive ****ty bowl game performances.

Michael Irvin also took a payoff because he fumbled the ball.

Thank goodness that Warren Williams and Michael Irvin took those payoffs, because they both had such short NFL careers ahead of them.

Yes, both defenses were outstanding, the score was 14-10, but certainly all of the blame goes to the offenses.

U’re dad will be my all time hero if that ever happens.

Here’s my biggest suspicion of it all; VT is a Heisman Trophy winner; he was the #1 overall draft pick, he had a pretty good NFL career.....most of our guys w/ such success, they come back around the program. VT by all accounts have stayed away except for a limited handful. I mean his own son was on the team and dude was barely around.

It’s all speculations, but most feel he threw that game & it’s pretty clear why one would feel that way.

my buddy says there’s no way game was thrown. He wouldn’t go into anything else when I pressed. Maybe there’s something else but my guy is adamant it wasn’t thrown. Maybe he’s covering? I have to take him at his word...

I really wouldn’t expect him to say otherwise. Lol.

The 86 Canes; gotta be the biggest “what if” team in NCAA history. Can’t think of a team so dominant, so swagged, w future NFL stars on it to put up 10 points by completely obliterating their opponent in every single statical category. Smh

Vinny’s bookie will probably tell you a different story after he’s had a few stiff drinks

theres something there for sure. I could tell by his reaction when I pressed. If Vinny threw the game by guy would play it off. He was adamant. I’ll keep working him. When society opens up I’ll take him for beers and see if I can’t open him up lol.

and I hear you. At least 1991 unlv we know why Duke beat them...

i left NYC years ago. I’m currently in Syracuse. Things here aren’t too bad but my heart breaks for the small businesses. I’m ashamed to admit that my home city is slanting the numbers so bad.

howre things out there?

We’re on lock down, A couple of cases out in Cali, but we kinda got ahead of the whole situation by mandating shelter in place prior to it became a National situation. The mom & pops businesses r done; and they probably will never come back.

Sad thing is, mofos still think this chit is a joke.
