Like when a project manager asked me about prospective hire who I used to work with and all I said I knew of him, confirmed that he was a developer and that's it. No recommendation given but I didn't want to trash the guy. The PM read between the lines.
Yep, that’s HR 101. It’s not what you say, it’s what you don’t say that matters.
When I was a regional manager for a Fortune 100 company, our company policy was, when asked, to simply say they worked here, their responsibilities and length of time if they were a poor employee.
If they were a good employee, you could add a glowing recommendation.

I wouldn't of went and I love the U, I would of taken the $ for my family and went to some BS school. Its easy to say as a fan that you would choose Miami, but if you never had money and it will change your family's life (the people you love over a logo) you would take the money. End of story

You have to take the now money, you could get injured lose value or have a career ending injury and that money is gone. And also you can be a bust and not do anything in college, but at least you secured the bag

Mario has done an admirable job of re-engaging the former players. I thought Richt did, too, but football alumni do seem to show up more for Mario. It's one tangible advantage of having a HC who is a former player -- more personal relationships with our other former players.

Oh I concur, in bringing physicality in every snap with a relentless rotation🙌
Moten and Scott I know I’m being biased here and I’m sure there’s plenty of other tandems out there, but I wouldn’t trade that duo for anything right now and their stock is going way up. Add the Nebraska kid that I thought was a total steal (though he was highly ranked) and we got something this year brother

I’d listen to the argument that Moten is the most important player on the team this year outside Mensah

There is a difference between "not tell players to go there" and "tell players to not go there," he said the former. So he just wasn't calling recruits to help recruit, which makes sense.

Not like he was taking time to call up recruits that were considering Miami and telling them to not go to Miami. He just wasn't going to put his reputation on the line for a coach and program that he didn't trust at the time and go out of the way to call a recruit to go to Miami like he did with Cantwell.
That’s what I was thinking. He was not recommending Miami rather than saying to avoid Miami.

Nothing wrong with this, we were asss and a Mickey Mouse program. Why would you tell players to ruin their careers when he didn’t ruin his own?

Moten and Scott should be the best DT combo we’ve had since????
Wilfork and Santonio Thomas?
Sapp and Pat Riley?
