Video: Miami defense vs. Appalachian State

Our blitzes this year are well designed. Either Corn or Pickney was going to come free. I don't see how you pick it all up with the athletes we have, unless you max protect. The only other option is to throw hot.

Anyone see Tyler Byrd? Tenn fans ripping team on Twitter for OT win at home and Miami destroying same team! How's Rockytop feeling?

Yep, been thinking that. Dude has played in one game, sparingly. Have fun riding pine on a middling team.

If we can keep this front 7 healthy, we're gonna get to 10 wins!!#defensewins

I like your avatar but...

FSU # Exposed
ND # Exposed

Those were our threats going into this year. No reason we shouldn't be 12-0 going into the ACCCG.

fck boy would've taken a INT for a pick 6 right now if he manned up and stayed home. But he decided to ***** his boyfriend in college and tried to troll miami fans throughout it all. hope he is lovin rockytop's bench as he watches them fight for their lives against Ohio

Thomas, McIntosh, and Quarterman in on the stop.

Gerald Willis with a TFL.

Mike Smith with the interception on the tipped ball.

Corn Elder gets the sack on 3rd and long.

Chad Thomas on the sack. He had a big game.

I'm sorry but that tipped ball INT was defensive holding if I've ever seen it. Didn't affect the game in any way but how the refs miss a jersey pull like that is beyond me (I saw it from just below the press box).

Otherwise, fantastic game played by the Canes!

What's Rocky Top??? We call it Broke Back Mountain. Where Tyler Byrdshyt and his lover, Carlin Fils-****, are free to roam peacably amongst the hillbillies. Fück Tyler Byrdshyt. He bought that Butch Jones bullchit and as I've said before, those dumb hillbillies took a stud db and turned him into a dime a dozen receiver.

Legit, I just got misty eyed watching those highlights.

You don't need to be an X's and O's guy to see how much difference a coaching staff can make. they might start giving up more yards and big plays, but this D will make a ton of big time plays against high-octane offenses. I think we'll match up very well against the 3 teams we absolutely must beat this year - UNC, VT, and Pitt.

A bout of Stockholm syndrome? Game's over. The App State fan base no longer has the privilege to make judgments, prognosticate, or pontificate on this board. These same players made up one of the worst defenses in the P5 last year. Objectively, if I was an App State fan, I would be absolutely embarrassed to get manhandled by personnel that had the penchant to make every opposing QB look like a Heisman in 2015. If I was an App State University Trustee, I would add "Reclassifying back to FCS" on the next Athletics Committee meeting agenda.

Seemed like Corn was everywhere today. My favorite was him running already to goal line to tackle that back after that ling run and put him out of the game. The penalty negating the TD was just salt to the wound.
This was the play that insured the outcome of the game...

DL stunts are quick and effective at getting penetration, not those No D loooong loops that never did anything.
