Mrob was good. He wasn't a tweener, he was a true DE. He was judt undersized. He had some good games at DE but he also battled injuries due to being smaller. If we had depth he could of used his 1st year to put on weight. Mrob wasn't really effective at olb. He should of always played with his hands in the dirt.
Outside of that. You're right. For big time d1 football. DE's should be coming in around 220-230 as true freshmen. Can't be a 190 DE. I like Wilder but my criticisms aligns with yours. In his highlights. He lines up on the line and just blitz. That's my issue. However, after sitting with a few coaches he may exhibit the intelligence for the game but is playing the way the CC coaches ask him. I don't know but from just watching the film, just rushing the passer of edge at 190 isn't going to do it.
