I believe we will still end up with another good WR class like last year. In saying that, for me a whiff on Keys, Harris and Wingo is a bust. If Wingo was a little faster, he would be a whale to me. Just outside.

I hope we haven't moved on from Spafford because I like him a lot. Everyone sleeping on Spafford and Lopez and I'm not sure why. They are incredibly productive hard working guys and I just know here or wherever they're going to produce in college.
 
Yeah, I'm sure we passed on this kid right after the top guys on our WR board told us to F our own faces. Crisis cannot recruit elite WRs.

This is not saying Beard is trash but he ain't all that either. Every WR coach in the country would've gotten flowers from us last season...

Did you leave Russell out on purpose?

Evans and Lopez only seem like consolation prizes because insiders on here hyped up this "Top 3 class" so much these past few weeks. Don't get me wrong, I want the 5 star WRs, too. But IMO, Russell was always the only one we had an inside shot for, and for whatever reason he doesn't seem to want to be a Cane. I just don't get it. He's also a high beta kid because we're banking on him developing more mass over time.

Beyond Russell, IMO, the highest priority is to get the DT Johnson and ideally one more elite DT to go with the other recruits D$ and Gaby are saying we're in good shape for..

What is it that you don't get? He wants to get out of Miami and experience a different type of college atmosphere. It so simple to understand and it's his choice. For many of you criticizing Beard and Mario for not getting this kid to commit I can only say there are certain things you can control and some you can't. Money is not the issue to all kids and this kid is going to be paid. If he doesn't want to go to UM them respect his decision and stop whining about the coaches and move on.

So you dodge my question to make the point that the WRs wouldn’t look as good with our backup QB, well no **** Sherlock the whole offense would look worse with Emory starting he’s a backup QB for a reason. Beck is the starting QB n I’m willing to bet they’ll look just fine with him this fall. And when they do I wanna see if you give all the credit to him like u did Ward 😅

Careful now, with that reasoning you might just get it.

If worse QB = worse WRs then what does better QB equal?

It’s like 🥷 on here are oblivious to how a lot of these jits actually view Miami in football lol, I’ll admit it’s gotten better then the Manny Days especially this past year w/ Ward, but we have significant work to do to be looked at by these jits like Baton Rouge kids look at LSU or Alabama kids look at BAMA we may never actually get to that level due to the nature of this city vs small towns, but If we can win consistently n produce some top NFL players we’ll be celebrating our 6th before another 20 years go by cause the money side of it is there 💸

Stay with me..

Great Qb (Ward) + Good/Great WR play = Great/Elite offense… #1 in the country

Good/borderline Great QB (Beck) + Trash WR play = See UGA + Beck last year (hence y he’s here instead of the NFL despite being projected the top overall QB)

If you really think Ward would make any random WR core look as good as we did last year n nobody else deserves credit then this argument is pointless anyway.
