I always worry about it. You've gotta go out and play the game.

Isn’t their qb nursing an injury sustained last game? I mean looks like the guy we just faced. Could run but can’t throw. And I heard their OL sucks too.
The only way they could slow us down is to drop 8 and if they did we’d run all day. That may keep the score lower, but it won’t save them.My guess is that seeing what we did to USF, VT may try to be the team attempting to slow us down, make us try to drive the field and make drive-stalling mistakes. Keep the game low scoring, be within striking distance in the 4th.
that's literally what every team tries to do every gameMy guess is that seeing what we did to USF, VT may try to be the team attempting to slow us down, make us try to drive the field and make drive-stalling mistakes. Keep the game low scoring, be within striking distance in the 4th.
I'm not worried about VT. I see it being much less competitive than the USF game.
What what?
I might be wrong. They might give us a good game. I can't figure out for the life of me why they were picked preseason as one of the ACC dark horses. They were a below average team last year and have looked below average so far this year. I don't remember them doing anything in the offseason to improve their team that much to where they should preseason fringe top 25. The only thing I can think of is that their schedule is even easier than ours. They play nobody outside of us and Clemson.I think VT presents a better defense than usf and perhaps uf. They have a LB named Antwan Ryland-Powell who had 18 tackles vs Rutgers plus has 6 sacks this season and their CBs have played well thus far. Rutgers didn't both to challenge them much (other, maybe because their LBS couldn't cover anyone). I also learned via VT podcast that Kaleb Spencer (transfer from UM) had the highest PFF rating vs Rutgers.

They finished the 2023 season on a strong note, winning 5 out of 7 games, the only losses to a good Louisville and NC State team. While I may think they are just an average team, we certainly don't want to overlook them and not take them seriously.Yeap, and they beat up Tulane in a bowl game where they were missing their head coach, QB1, QB2 (injured during game) plus several other starters. Nonetheless, they somehow find ways to hang with us.
