Va Tech Rolling out ambitious ticket program as part of it's financial plan to compete

If memory serves me correctly....Jackie Mars (worth $40B) is VT's sugar mama...

that's alot of candy bars....

She could right a check that would be a rounding error for her and friends to make VT a player in NIL...if she wanted to...
 
She is now worth $50B, lives in Northern Virginia, and cares more about horses than football. I doubt she writes or rights a check to VT for NIL. Thus, we can keep eating that candy.

All this does is show competing programs and potential recruits how far away they are from the norm at this point. It also shows they are completely not aware or don't care at least about their local demographic. Virginia tech is an area of pretty low income families. Good luck coming up with that if it's not directly through sponsorship or other corporate means. If you're counting on that through your fans and attendance you're in a world of trouble.

The fact that they think this above is the way to go to generate money should let you know...they aint got it.

They forked up the money to get Franklin n got that new car smell for these next two classes but that money aint strong like yall really say it is.

He obviously doesn't understand the demographic. Because engineers and such literally won't take one step ever in that stadium.
