USC did it right

"USC had hired an external law firm specializing in “sexual harassment and misconduct” allegations to investigate the athletic department’s workplace culture, during which staffers raised concerns about Bohn. More specific details likely will emerge in the coming days and weeks".

From the USC 247 site.... As happens on all of these fan boards, people post information that shouldn't be public. This happened when this situation first became public. I happened to catch a few of the posts that were deleted, including the one referred to in the post below - seems this "resignation" HAD to happen to stay ahead of what could have been, and still might be, a very UGLY situation....

"I am continually baffled by the ignorance of people on this board (not you). People at USC gave this information to the LAT. There was no one at the Times investigatively digging up the scoop like Sherlock Holmes...it was handed to them. The "story" rapidly developed over the past week or so before the fact that it was going to break "forced" Folt to act yesterday.

There is ZERO question remaining about Bohn's culpability following SS's post yesterday. He even named a specific woman in the athletic department who was "harassed" by Bohn. I put that in quotes because it seems the word is mild in terms of what might have gone down. What we do not know is if she was the only woman. Given the revelations from people at Cincinatti, it might be safe to assume there are others, at minimum, who were repulsed and intimidated by a person who had a moral and fiducial responsibility to not do what he apparently did.

Obviously, given USC's recent history, any whiff of potential scandal particularly of this variety must be met with zero tolerance. We have heard from SS and other insiders that there are corroborating emails and other internal information supporting the decision to let him go. SS said it was black and white.

Mike Bohn made the greatest positive impact on the USC athletic department (or he brought in Sosna to do it for him) of any AD we've had in many decades. But he apparently also did some stuff that necessitated his removal. He will always be the man who secretly reeled in Lincoln and initiated one of the biggest power moves in NCAA history by secretly pulling off the jump to the B1G. The man obviously deserves credit for the outrageously positive impact he had on USC sports. Even that, though, doesn't shield him from the consequences of his other actions.

There are other questions that will need answering, particularly about how this stuff apparently happened at Cincinatti and yet didn't come up in the vetting process when Folt and Caruso brought him here.

But the pathetic, risible mouthbreathing about "woke" this or that currently happening on this and other USC boards and on social media needs to ******** stop. People who engage in SH have no business being in positions of authority at USC or ANY other institution in America. Imagine it was your wife. Imagine it was your daughter. JFC you people."

Not making light of these situations but I always think about the Tom Brady SNL skit when this happens

USC doing USC things..........

@Rellyrell What are you hearing out there????

Funny u should ask since I was just on a 3-way call w/ 2 alumni last night. Apparently bro wasn’t vetted, like at all. USC was swinging for the fences for an AD to turn the entire Athletic Dept around, & Bohn did wonders at UC. What they didn’t see or inquire about was why would a successful AD look for greener pastures in the midst of UC having its best back to back seasons since their Big East days.

The easy answer would be better opportunities, but the
?mark should’ve been y didn’t UC remotely put up a fight to retain him? Plus, there were public skepticism surrounding his name, namely (no pun intended) his indiscretions as an AD while at UC.

They didn’t know details, but one who’s still heavily involved w/ SC as a booster to the academic side, said she’s hearing the administration is possibly coming under fire for putting athletics over due process. She’s under the impression that the admin was in hopes his work as an AD would overcome any rumors at his previous gig, in essence turned a blind eye to the matter.

😂😂😂

Two places you never take a QB from USC & Oklahoma. (he’s both 😂)

Telling y’all right now, this kid is fool’s gold.. do not take him in the top 15.

Take UNC QB, or Marvin Jr #1

Caleb has immense talent. His dad will make Lavar Ball look like a church mouse. I wouldn't wish those 2 on my worst enemy. No coach will ever squander more talent than Riley. Jimbo could only dream of that level of incompetence.
