Wasn’t sure where to post this so started new

Interesting

Gasoline prices, Octane-95, 03-Oct-2022: The average price of gasoline around the world is 4.84 U.S. Dollar per us gallon. However, there is substantial difference in these prices among countries. As a general rule, richer countries have higher prices while poorer countries and the countries that produce and export oil have significantly lower prices. One notable exception is the U.S. which is an economically advanced country but has low gas prices. The differences in prices across countries are due to the various taxes and subsidies for gasoline. All countries have access to the same petroleum prices of international markets but then decide to impose different taxes. As a result, the retail price of gasoline is different. Use the drop menu to see the prices in gallons.

We have cheap gas.

Remember when we were an exporter of oil? We could be paying $2.35 also.

Hey, we have been exporting our strategic reserve. So technically still exporting. Let’s hope there is no wars we need that for or some other countries slowing down their oil production that could make us see gas lines again.

We have cheap gas.

Within the US, people be blaming the left or right for their problems, but when you look out, we are have handled the post-covid world better than almost everyone.

Again... if Trump won, we would be exporting over 15 million barrels of oil a day. Instead we have Brandon who said he would end fossil fuels and we are less than 12 million. Gas prices would never have went over $4 avg nationally... instead it went over $5 nationally for the first time ever...

Amid buoyant expectations of increasing U.S. production to 15 million barrels per day, the industry was suddenly rocked by consecutive shocks: the pandemic, followed by the Biden administration war on fossil fuels.

"We came out of COVID right into the Biden administration, which then kneecapped us," Stewart recounted. "Between their regulatory assault and the attempt to defund us and to debank us on Wall Street, we're still a million or million and a half barrels behind where we were. And we're 3 million barrels behind where we could be. And that's really unfortunate. And that's unfortunate for our European allies in particular."

Is that your standard? Paying $4 for gas is “cheap” bc other countries pay more? Is 10% real inflation, good bc other countries have it worse?

No we didn’t handle it better than anyone. We just have the largest economy and sit on top of a never ending sum of natural resources that any other country on the planet would die for.

100% and all u need to do was look at how much the stock market went up at the end of the Trump admin (when Covid was ending) and the first 6 or so months of Biden admin before ARP was signed to ballon inflation. Without ARP and the bloated infrastructure plan (which have they fixed any infrastructure yet?!?)… inflation would probably only went up to like 4-5% instead of 10% and now still over 8%.

What could have been. Make sure to vote on Nov 8

There’s no doubt we were better off economically under the previous admin. But that’s not even my point. This country should never struggle. We have everything we need in abundance. All of our problems are 100% self inflicted. And the standard should never be compared to any other country. We are on our own level.

I will reiterate again, Covid didn’t do anything to our economy. The response to Covid did.

Tru, Trump going along with Fauci and shutting down the economy was wrong imo. But we were on pace to continue the rebound and Biden and liberal policies killed the economy and here we are

I think it should also be said that the people and culture her does that and does it in spite of government interfering and dragging it down.

Correct. Government and the large institutions have polluted the system for decades now. They’re on the verge of completely taking over. My generation and the younger ones have submitted. Thankfully the older ones still have a backbone and held it off for as long as they could. It’s an uphill battle and we’re at the bottom of the mountain.

Americans do not realize how cheap everything is when compared to their westernized countries.
