Urban Meyer out there unemployed

I hear u but theat 2010 or 11 class he had with UF was incredible, i remember watching the all star under armour game and every elite kid doing the gator chomp. He can recruit with the elite dont get it twisted, him and Butch wouldnt be fair for cfb miami would win a title in year 3 and 100% in year 4 just on recruiting alone
You're right but I remember the gator fans I know really upset that he did nothing with them. Maybe what I am seeing is that he ruins players somehow. Seem to happen at OSU too. Perfect situation would be bring in Butch for 3 years of recruiting then Urban for one of two titles and couple 5* classes. Then swing Butch back for couple more years to tune up the players Urban was in process of ruining and to add another dozen of so 1st round picks. Then back to Urban for couple more titles -- just keep flipping them or keep both on contract but alternate them for two year or three year stints as HC and vacation. Fits nicely with Urban's track record of retiring every few years.

No way Miami is paying 7 figures.

We were going to pay 7 easy for LSU’s DC. Before hiring Manny. Until LSU went cray cray and started adding more figures to get him. We paid 700k for Whipple back in the Shannon days. Miami will pay.

Why don’t we go higher and get rid of Frenks? From what I’ve seen, he has done NOTHING for this school . It’s still poorly run, and academics are slipping back to Sun Tan U levels. EVERYTHING about UM is so poorly run it’s a wonder the place isn’t bankrupt. Seriously, would you send your kid to Miami for the Ivy League tuition they charge? Just not worth it when UF, a state school, has become the better choice (I hate this.). It’s not only sports that are suffering.

Frenks has a 5-year contract that is HIGHLY unlikely to be renewed. He started the position August 16, 2015. UM has never had a 1-termer, so I don't know what the protocol is, but hopefully he will be bumped over to the Med School and we can hire someone new.

That's what I noticed as well. Looks like Frenks is not only staying away from football but from everything. WTF is he doing.

Well, now we have a fancy throne for him to sit on during graduation. The Frenk Era isn't a complete bust.

Diaz did not hire quality coaches.

Enos
is mediocre. We still suck in the red zone. I'm seeing no adjustments from him and his stubbornness with the playaction with this OL is driving me insane.

Baker is a NoD part 2. Manny's friend. He needed to be fired as soon as the UNC game ended.

Stubblefield is no technician and is probably the biggest recruiting liability. He caught a bunch of passes and his name was involved with Campanaro (undeservedly) so he's now somehow qualified to coach here. He's never stayed at one place for more than two years. Our guys can't run routes and are still dropping passes.

Stroud, you want to see what coaching downwards look like, look no further than this guy who went from NC State to Akron. Our guys are getting zero penetration cause they have NO techniques.

Field is mainly a recruiter. I don't have as much of a problem with him but can he start teaching his guys to block?

Hickson. No one has even heard of this guy. Our RBs are producing but recruiting is a question mark. Chaney was going to be a Cane no matter what and he failed to get Knighton even with having a supposedly good relationship with the DFB coaches. DFB is anti Cane but he went all in on Knighton and is now having to circle back on Parrish.

Barry gets too much credit for being in the NFL and no one's talking about how the Bucs had one of the worst OL. This OL is even worse than last year, spare me the freshman excuses.

And the guys he kept:

Banda. Manny's friend. The bartender. Gets embarrassed on the trail year round. Recruits play him like a fiddle. Can't coach either, he's clueless and constantly goes to Mike for coaching.

Patke. Manny's friend. The LB room is a joke. Our senior LBs are somehow even worse than last year. This GA just popped out of nowhere, trying to recruit a Texas DT (he failed) bc Kool was checked out. And now he leads ST. This guy is responsible for two of the bottom most units.

Rumph. He tries.

Diaz ignored ST. He has two DB coaches that do not equal to one. He kept the defensive coaches for continuity but it is now a liability.

Gaytor fans say the same thing about their coaches and they are ranked in the Top 10.

Enos offenses:
2010: 49th
2011: 57th
2012: 64th
2013: 110th
2014: 70th
2015: 25th
2016: 54th
2017: 94th
Not so great. He may have done a good job teaching mechanics but his past does not inspire confidence in his playcalling abilities. There's things you can do to help a struggling OL and he's out here calling plays like we got Bama's OL. We are struggling in the redzone. None of those stats matter if you can't put up TDs.

The 4th and 17 was 100% on Baker. What imbecile blitzes a safety in that situation? Not only that but he's having Garvin spy the QB way too often. But at least we shut down the run right? News flash: Bum Franks and true frosh Howell ended up beating us with their arm.

And lets talk about developing players. Diaz has shown that he can't develop players. This joke of an LB room is on him. Our senior LBs have regressed every year.

Sorry, but I see this playing out like Golden. Manny will not have it in him to fire his friends, especially new father Baker. Dabo did not hire his friends. No competent coach hires their friends.

I've never said we were playoff bound and beating Clemson. But at the very least, I expect to not lose to ******* UNC. Diaz had 2 weeks to prepare and this team looked as unprepared as ever. Before you know it, we were down 17-3. By the way, UNC also had a completely new staff, new offense, and a new QB.

We better win 5 in a row but the reality is this team will be in a dogfight with any P5 team.

NCAA stats for 2019 (thus far):

Passing offense - Miami #31
Rushing offense - Miami #60
Total offense - Miami #42
Scoring offense - Miami #41

That's why preseason rankings are stupid. They are not a top 10 team. They'll drop 4 games this year.

Maybe, maybe not. And at the end of the year, you frequently see teams with 3 losses in the Top 10.

The issue is that the Gaytors are winning games and getting recruits, in spite of (to read what Gaytor fans write) having half a coaching staff that should be fired. And they had the same situation under McSharkfvcker, so don't act like this is a 2019-only thing.

It's better than last year but that's a low bar.

Good lord, you are a negative crybaby. YOU posted Enos' lifetime stats, I pointed out that he is outperforming his entire career (yes, it's only 3 games so far). Nobody said "better than last year", and stop it with the "low bar" nonsense. Do you want improvement? Enos has gotten Jarren Williams, a guy who was overweight and ready to transfer last year, performing at a pretty high level, zero INTs thus far, give the guy a tiny bit of credit already.

I did give him credit. I gave him credit for teaching mechanics. My issue is with his playcalling.

I hope he'll figure it out. But 3rd down and redzone efficiency is still a glaring problem.
The plays are slow developing and he's going under center too much. So far, it's been consistent with his past offenses.

Urban will do well at USC. He will have them contending at a high level quick. He will leave there soon too though.
