fact. We hired AG and shoulda hired Butch, we hired lame *** MR and shoulda hired Butch, so now we hire a first timer that got fired by Mack Brown, and we shoulda hired Butch. This has to be the worst administration in D1. We would be loaded w 1st rounders all across the front on both sides if we had hired Butch...fact

That’s not true...the same kids he’s got at OSU would’ve played for Notre Dame as well. I know that as true because I live in Ohio and I’m familiar with some of the recruiting battles that OSU has had with Notre Dame recently....Huge misconception that Notre Dame can’t compete with the big boys of college football today...If a recruit can attend a Big Ten school then they can get into Notre Dame, same with the other major conferences
 
They don't seem to be going for the TFL's like they have the past three years, maybe to protect the new DT's, but they seem to be solid. I would let the DE's start getting up field like they've been doing the last few years. Safety play has been sketchy, but that should improve. It seems to be more about breakdowns than actual talent. We're missing Johnson and Redwine back there to clean up the mistakes.

well bro we aint been worth a damm since his boys left, he's a monster recruiter when at a good place, wants to be here, works cheap, and ran a clean ship while here before. Plus he is waaay better than anyone else we have hired since. Its called common sense, which seems to be a foreign language around here and at the administrative level ten fold

We could have hired Mario last time around. Im not sold on mario but the guy can recruit. We did the manny thing when we fired coker hiring the DC. Manny needs to hire whole new defensive staff if he wants this to work.

exactly my point, a damm basketball school. He prolly put out more 1st when he was there than the history of their program. He understands that you cannot compete up top without a push on both sides, maybe from his time with the Cowboys ? Insane stupidity this man has not been brought back here, if our admin were running a company they'd be bankrupt, sounds like our government dont it. Mark Stoops would be my #2 right now, i dont know why the board jerks off to coaches we will never afford. But then i jerk off all the time to women i'll never hit, so carry on i guess

stoops would be very solid. i been saying that a long time. blake's an idiot. manny is on him. manny is not highly regarded in coaching circles.

There's a story out that USC's president is adamant about not wanting Urbie anywhere near the program. It might be irrelevant though as apparently they have a mega booster that has donated north of $400 mil to the school/program that might have equal or greater say. He actually put Al Cowlings' name on dorm.

Hes not going to do **** hes going to ride it out. There isnt any elite recruiters on the staff hes in deep trouble. Its unrealistic to think he will change staffs at seasons end he basically just hired most these dudes too. Hired from a failed staff man just let the chips fall and watch what happens. We been beating a dead horse for 10 plus years

Here's why....Not meaning hire him now....but he should've been HC at UM from 2001 onward....we'd have 2-3 more NCs....

Oh I hear ya, man. I was in school from 1997 - 2001 and am a huge Butch fan. I just think it's weird how many people (not saying you) are STILL calling for him to be Miami's HC in 2019. I swear it'll be 2040 and some people will still be saying that sh-t on here.

Absolutely....Im fully aware the boat sailed after 2013-14....My gripe has always been that we should've never let him walk...and for the people who spew the "Butch had no intentions in staying" BS....I happen to know thats 100% BS....
 
Butch don't owe UM one F-ing thing....
He more than paid his dues....I betcha he left UM in alot better F-ing shape than what he was handed....He turned a Pile of Sh*t situation, into the Greatest collection of talent in NCAA History, with an Administration that was continuously up his ***, even though it was another regime's failures....
