Urban Meyer May Be Available as early as this week!

Highly doubtful. Mr. Khan does not strike me as a guy who would make rash decisions like luring Urban Meyer out of retirement and then firing him 4 games into the season. J-Ville went 1-15 last year. The team sucks. Khan hired Meyer knowing it would take at least a couple years to right the ship. It's a matter of pride, not money.

The nice thing about the NFL (and why Jimmy Johnson recommended to Urban that he go to the NFL instead of UTexas) is that the league is all business. If this had happened in college, there would be womyns rights groups demanding Meyers balls on a platter and the school would be opening a Title IX investigation. Khan put the issue to bed almost instantly and now Meyer can focus on football again.

Oh I get it. Petrino got canned by the Falcons during his first season. Nobody is a worse fit for the NFL than Meyer. The lap dance is just an excuse.

I could care less about Urban or his wife who has chosen to remain with him despite all the indiscretions. But firing him over a moral issue?

Gonna be hard to walk into recruits homes and convince their parents especially moms to let their kids come play for you.

They better fumigate the entire athletic department while marooning Jake Blames and Strawley in the South Pacific before Urban would even consider coming here.

Are you suggesting "Urban Meyer's down with the ******* and hoes" might not be an attractive recruiting strategy?
 
If he wants to come back to college, there should be a full court press on him right now. Even let him make some AD suggestions.

The guy is a winner.

People are forgetting the fact the GOAT, Jimmy Johnson, told Meyer that the NFL was better than college (the Longhorns were going to pay an insane amount for him) for this specific reason. NFL cares about wins. That's it. End of Story. No recruiting, having to schmooze boosters, etc. If Meyer goes winless will he get fired? Possibly, but they went 1-15 last year and 6-10 before that so I don't think winning zero in his first season would be a huge shocker. Anyways he will have at least 1 win (so at the very least matching last year's win total) in a couple weeks since they play the Dolphins in Jacksonville and that W will take a lot of heat off him.

BTW, for those who think he's USC bound - you have to be out of your god**** mind. Usc is coming off a huge academic sports scandal and is in the middle in one of the most SJW cities in one of the most SJW states in the country. The womyns rights groups would burn down the campus if USC hired him. He was clearly using his position and influence as an NFL coach to force the woman in the bar to grind on him #MeToo
