Jacksonville will use it as their justification to fire him for cause. No lose on their part except whether or not they will owe him money.
Highly doubtful. Mr. Khan does not strike me as a guy who would make rash decisions like luring Urban Meyer out of retirement and then firing him 4 games into the season. J-Ville went 1-15 last year. The team sucks. Khan hired Meyer knowing it would take at least a couple years to right the ship. It's a matter of pride, not money.
The nice thing about the NFL (and why Jimmy Johnson recommended to Urban that he go to the NFL instead of UTexas) is that the league is all business. If this had happened in college, there would be womyns rights groups demanding Meyers balls on a platter and the school would be opening a Title IX investigation. Khan put the issue to bed almost instantly and now Meyer can focus on football again.
