We get bogged down into the details here but the main point is that when we are consistently pointing to a flag thrown, or a dropped pass then the games are just being forcibly played too closelyI think the Trader drop was the biggest play of the game not only because it completely swung momentum when we were about to go up 14-0, but it seemed to scare the coaches (and Beck?) away from the deeper throws that were working.
he was balling that game. the coaches should have the awareness to know that it wasnt his fault or a bad throw just a bad drop.I think the Trader drop was the biggest play of the game not only because it completely swung momentum when we were about to go up 14-0, but it seemed to scare the coaches (and Beck?) away from the deeper throws that were working.
This team is so fragile & beaten down right now - coaches included - that it goes into a shell at the first sign of adversity. We’re tight & playing scared. If JoJo makes the catch & we put points on the board it’s likely a different ballgame. We get bogged down into the details here but the main point is that when we are consistently pointing to a flag thrown, or a dropped pass then the games are just being forcibly played too closely
I get it happens from time to time but when your approach forces a game to flip on one bad play or penalty then you need a better plan
Great offenses ***** up all the time only difference is they put so much pressure on the defense that it will win out eventually
We were penalized a lot last year as well. Cam had some critical turnovers but we just never stopped firing bullets. Sure someone can say it’s because we had to because of our defense…but ultimately so what?
Feel like I owe you a beer. This is 1000%, my biggest gripe. We look like two different programs last year vs this year. What the fckkk happened to you get conservative you die?We get bogged down into the details here but the main point is that when we are consistently pointing to a flag thrown, or a dropped pass then the games are just being forcibly played too closely

This also made we wonder if Trader was doing this in practice as well and one of the reasons he hadn't earned the trust of the coaches for playing time. All SMU had to focus on was #10 at that point and they did.I think the Trader drop was the biggest play of the game not only because it completely swung momentum when we were about to go up 14-0, but it seemed to scare the coaches (and Beck?) away from the deeper throws that were working.
I feel like I owe you more than a Like for putting yourself through this
How about a hug?

Yeah I’m not saying we gotta be Fun and Gun. **** the Mario approach is actually a great way to finish beating up an inferior opponent by shortening their chances when we are up by a few scoresFeel like I owe you a beer. I remember that play, lashlee you dawg you
It was the flag for "Conservatism" that Mario wants to wear. Couldn't believe you would invite even more variance into the game by kneeling there with a timeout and first downs stop the clock.
I have nothing nice to say.
I think Jakobee is supposed to be in Cover-2 and is playing Quarters. Toure probably wants to gets hands on him, but I think Thomas busted here. Y
Exactly how I felt, by far the most frustrating game so far this season. At least Louisville put up a fight and came ready to play. This game should have been a blow-out that somehow turned into a loss. This was a game Miami wins 90 or 95 times out of a 100 based on the simple talent differential and successful plays in this game.
Thank you as always Lance. I kid you not, this helped my soul. Just felt good to not feel like a crazy person. Comes down to coaching decisions in key moments.
Not to oversimplify but it seems that if we break tendencies in short yardage ie the fake dive vs VT to arroyo last year or even the bauman td near the goal line, this is a win. Even with all the officiating malarkey, pre snap penalties. and awful no call on the fumble
What did you think about kneeling down with 25 ticks? When you have a kicker who’s already won one from 50+ seems crazy to me.
Agreed, pain, thank you for your service..Here’s what I thought about it. Not the same exact situation, because Wake was down, so they had no choice, but literally LAST WEEK, Wake got the ball against SMU, down by 2, with 12 seconds, on their own 42, needing a FG to win. With NO timeouts.
They completed a 25 yard pass, spiked the ball, and kicked a game winning FG.
This wasn't 6 years ago. It was last ******* week. And our staff, with 1 timeout, 25 seconds, needing, what? 35 yards to give our kicker a reasonable shot? And we take a knee.
Absurd ***** ****. You literally just watched a team ONE WEEK AGO, that's not nearly as talented as you are, get 25 yards on one play. You probably have 4 plays? And you can run anything, since you have a TO. There's zero chance you're going to ever get to a situation where you have to punt. So the literal only thing you're scared about is throwing a pick. Nobody gets near your QB in terms of a pass rush. You're not going to give up a sack/fumble. But you're so scared of letting your QB cook with 25 seconds and timeout, that you just turtle up and play for OT. Embarrassing.
I was in favor of it two years ago against Clemson when we had Emory making his first start. But now you're paying your QB millions, plural. Go try to win the ******* game. Absolute ***** ****.
