Upon Further Review: Miami vs. Miami

Have you two seen any of the Amazon Thursday Night AI ads?

Write-up

This technology is going to impact the game very soon but I don't believe it will impact recruiting due to the quality of HS data.

The best AI product would be something that could create data from HS game film. Lots of game film (of varying quality) out there, just waiting to be processed into quantitative recruiting data.

The issue with the game film is quality, usually only 1-2 angles, variable locations of camera...

NFL: the camera positions are many, fixed, high quality, and at a limited number of fields (32+ a few games played at non-traditional locations). Thus, you could remove those locations.

College: the camera positions are many(not as many as NFL), fixed, high quality, and at a larger number of fields (128+).

HS: 1 in most cases, not always in the same place and not operated well, not the highest of quality, and thousands of fields BUT for this use case you likely could just use 200 schools with cross-over play getting you enough.

Elite analysis as always, thanks Lance.

I don't think Cam McCormick gets enough love however. He's exactly what the coaches want of him and rarely fails assignments. Very reliable player.
100% he is in the MVP talks of this game . he was unbelievable with his blocking, what big play did we have and not see him making a big block to make it pop.

That QB show on Netflix really puts a spotlight on how special QBs can be and make their coaches look better (Maholms & Cousins) to to mention Brady, Rodgers, Brees and a few others. They make the coaching look better than it actually might be (Evidenced by New England and their plethora of Offensive Coodinators not finding legit success - Daniels, O’Brien, Weiss), how much better Andy Reid is (although I think he’s a genius) vs Alex Smith & Donovan McNabb and I am curious to see how Bienemy does in Washington as to me, there is a reason he’s not a HC.
Disagree. It's 50/50.

Came across a company doing this already, so thought I would share it back here. https://reel-analytics.net/

It's also worth noting that Miami of Ohio is now 3-1 with a quality win over Cincinnati. They will very likely be 4-1 after this weekend when they play a hapless Kent State team. (Fresno State hung a 50-spot on Kent State in two & a half quarters before shutting it down last week).

Bodes well for UM's strength of schedule.

Gage Lavardain is going off so far

18/438/4 in 4 games.
