Harrell honestly makes more sense fpr them anyway he's a Big12 guy who can stay until Gundy decides to go. Fedora just fits the mentality here now and he'll get the keys to the car so if he does work he should be a HC again

The problem is Gundy and Fedora have a great relationship. The more I think about it the more I'm starting to realize we are all in for a huge letdown.

I'm going to be pretty ****ed if they just rush and sign Applewhite. Whatever the opposite of a typical Miami "nationwide search" is what needs to happen if Fedora goes somewhere else

Idgaf who Oklahoma st has as finalists. WE should be the ones that get to pick before the pokies as to who our OC is. Unfortunately it sounds like Mr. Fedora doesn’t want the pressure that comes with Miami football.

I'm holding on to the faint possibility Fedora would love the opportunity to crush the team that fired him him.

Harrell’s father was one of the first coaches in Texas HS football that fully embraced the spread, along with Art Briles in the early/mid 90s. Haven’t watched him at UNT but his father was certainly a brilliant innovator. Have to go try and find out more about what Graham likes to do - assume there’s a lot of Leach stuff.

If Fedora does indeed go to Oklahoma State it'll be for less money than what we are offering. Gundy literally just said that they couldn't afford to keep their OC who was already making about 800 K. Maybe he goes and does a solid for his old buddy like Chizik did for him a few years back.

I think Fedora is ours. He's probably just hearing out his former employer. Miami would give him more freedom, better opportunities, better access to croots, better weather & a chance to smash UNC.

Money doesn’t matter in Fedora’s case.

Fundraising from Mexico? Why?

What interest is there among wealthy Mexicans in UM?

Is Frenk buddies with Carlos Slim?

He’s the former Minister of Health of Mexico and held several prominent roles in various Health related organizations in Mexico. I assume its related UHealth. It didn’t involve football so I really didn’t probe further.

If a mitigation clause isn’t in his contract then it doesn’t matter.
Then why do you think he’d accept $1 from UM? He’d take the $1M from UM plus the $2.4M from UNC.

If you guys don’t have his contract then you have no idea if there’s an offset in there. He could have negotiated it out. Just because it’s typical to offset the subsequent salary from the buyout doesn’t mean it always goes that way.

There is an offset in his contract. I’ve read it. The debate is about whether there is a clause obligating him to mitigate. There is not.

I’m gonna wait for ivins and wiltfong to put in a crystal ball before I fall for it.
Oh wait wrong board.
